00:00Together now. Yes!
00:07Aligning with the Mandali Economy Framework for strengthening the digital economy,
00:13I am pleased to announce that Alibaba Cloud's Digital Accelerator Programme
00:19that will be launched to support Malaysia's digital roadmap.
00:25We aim to train and certify more than 500 startups in Malaysia by the end of 2025
00:34to establish Alibaba Cloud Academy Skills Centres at least 5 universities
00:41that will provide free access to Alibaba Cloud Academy and certifications
00:48in goal of certifying 10,000 students by the end of 2025.
00:57We are also committed to grooming 50 independent software vendors
01:06by equipping them with Alibaba Cloud technology and particularly in generative AI.
01:15By building such an AI-driven ecosystem, Alibaba Cloud with these ISPs aim to assist
01:23and onboard 1,000 small and medium-sized enterprises on their digitalization journey this year.
01:32Separately, to satisfy the growing needs of AI adoption in Malaysia,
01:39I would like to announce the availability of our generative AI platform, we call it Model Studio.
01:48So, Alibaba's Model Studio platform, through this platform,
01:53Malaysian customers can access to Alibaba Cloud's large-language model, Cuban Family,
02:00including the both closed-source and also open-source models with multi-model capabilities
02:07to boost the AI adoption and application across all the various industries in Malaysia.
02:15I don't think one can dispute or deny the fact that the real power and ability of one to succeed
02:24in the economy moving ahead is through digital platforms.
02:31Conversations of the sort that we have today are most significant.
02:36You have digital platforms. Alibaba, I would like to congratulate you.
02:40In 2018, I officiated your office in Bangsa South.
02:45The pandemic pushed us back to thinking about how it is we can use digital tools available to us
02:54in ensuring that we as a nation could participate in this new area,
03:02this powerful new area that provides us with great new opportunities.
03:09When there are opportunities in the digital economy,
03:15we need to hold programmes where we can convince the public
03:19and encourage the public to use digital platforms
03:22so that they can also participate in the digital economy.
03:27In 2022, we saw approved investments in the sum of Rp 268 billion.
03:32In 2023, it went up to Rp 360 billion.
03:37There's a 23% spike in just one year because of the impact of digital.
03:42So I think when we look at the figures,
03:44we can all see that if we don't have the opportunity,
03:49if we don't take part in this new digital economy,
03:53we will be left far behind.
03:55And I think that's something we need to avoid.
