Demi Lovato is set to make her directorial debut with a buzzy new documentary. Lovato teamed up with Hulu to direct 'Child Star,' a doc which examines the high highs and low lows of growing up in the spotlight. And rather than have it focus solely on Lovato's past, the singer and actress has tapped other former child stars for intimate and at times, heart-breaking conversations on growing up under the microscope of the public eye.

00:45environment for future generations, young talents in entertainment, social media and beyond.
00:51The film, which runs a little over 90 minutes and is co-directed by Nicola Marsh,
00:55is set to premiere September 17 and airs on Hulu, which is owned by Disney,
