00:00As a concerned Pakistani, when you see people asking this question that has Pakistan's meltdown started,
00:06there is a situation of civil war here, apart from this, a total war is seen in Pakistan.
00:12The state is engaging on every front.
00:14Historically, the state of Pakistan used to get opposition from somewhere in the country and support from somewhere else.
00:21This time, their own proponents are almost no more.
00:26And as a concerned Pakistani, who gives tax to this state,
00:30wants peace and security for the communities here,
00:35when I see all this, I can't see anything apart from anxiety and pessimism.
00:40I was on a vacation and in thousands of people from different areas messaged me.
00:47If I show you, you may get depressed.
00:49The kind of images I have seen, the kind of footage I have seen,
00:53the kind of violence I have seen.
00:55And maybe this is not the violence that I am seeing for the first time
00:58because I have been involved in this work for 5, 6, 7 years.
01:01Many people in Pakistan may not be familiar with this.
01:04This is the country where from the 80s till now,
01:07mostly activism was for Kashmir or Palestine.
01:12It was not for the citizens of their own country.
01:14And at this stage, wherever the state of Pakistan has to engage,
01:19it seems that it will gradually exhaust if so many fronts are opened.
01:24I will talk about three incidents which I have not been able to do recently.
01:28And which I have always done.
01:30The first thing is that in the area of Quram Agency, Pada Chenar,
01:34there has been a situation of mass murder in the last few days.
01:38In which medicines and food could not reach that place.
01:4149 people were shot day and night.
01:4549 casualties.
01:47Apart from this, about 200 people are injured.
01:51I will tell you the details of this.
01:53The second incident is of Gawadar,
01:55where thousands of women and men are protesting on the streets for their rights.
02:02How were they treated? What are their demands?
02:05The third incident is of Bannu,
02:07where a peaceful march took place a few days ago,
02:09in which thousands of people participated.
02:11What happened there?
02:12I will start with Pada Chenar.
02:14This is the city where 6,000 people have been killed since the 80s.
02:206,000 people killed in a single city of this country, without anyone knowing.
02:26No one knows that there is a record in this country of creating rubble and mountains of corpses.
02:32No one keeps an eye on it.
02:35No one sees what is being done there.
02:37This filth begins in the 80s.
02:40It was there before, but it escalates here,
02:42when Zia-ul-Haq, the biggest disease of Pakistan, is implemented here.
02:46After its implementation, they legislate their particular hardline fundamentalist ideology,
02:54which leads to a few groups that go and cut the throats of the displaced minorities.
03:00Out of the 49 casualties, more than 38 are displaced.
03:08Secondly, I will tell you about the history of violence in Pada Chenar.
03:16Some families from the Boshara and Malikheel tribes fight over land disputes.
03:24Some people think that this is a purely sectarian issue.
03:28This is not the case.
03:29These issues have become more amplified.
03:32This time, the fight was not only on religious grounds,
03:35but also on land disputes.
03:37These land disputes are from before 1947.
03:40It has been 80 years since this state was formed,
03:43but it could not implement its rites there.
03:46It could not implement the land record system there,
03:50or distribute the land under the Revenue Department.
03:54It did whatever it wanted.
03:57Later, there was a fight over it.
03:59It committed violence and killed whoever it wanted.
04:02Ali Ameen Ghandapur, the Chief Minister of Pakhtunkhwa,
04:05said that Jirga should sit down and resolve the dispute.
04:09If all the decisions are not made by Jirga,
04:12then what kind of a state representative are you?
04:14What are you doing there?
04:16Where are the courts?
04:17If you have imposed FATA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,
04:21then where is the rite of the state?
04:23Who will bring it under the judicial system?
04:26Where is the Revenue Department?
04:28Where is the record of land distribution?
04:30According to the decades-old records there,
04:36Jirga did whatever it wanted to do with its manpower.
04:41Secondly, the kind of weapons used there,
04:46it is hard to believe that a common citizen is sitting there with such weapons.
04:52There are mortar shells in it.
04:54You can also see that rocket launchers have been used there.
04:59If you look at the footage, it looks like a video game footage.
05:02It is such a heavy fire that such a heavy fire in Palestine
05:05may not have been recorded in any video.
05:08As far as I have seen in this footage.
05:11And you can see a complete line of the bodies of the young people.
05:16They are making a video.
05:18There is another video in which they are climbing on their necks and
05:21raising slogans.
05:23All this is happening under this state.
05:25But since they are dehumanized,
05:27it doesn't matter to anyone.
05:29Yes, if a camel's leg is cut here, the whole country cries for it.
05:33Apart from this, in Islamabad or Lahore,
05:38there is a percentage of it.
05:40I am not saying that a citizen's life should not be protected here.
05:44But you see how much attention it gets.
05:47And the discourse from the mainstream is almost absent.
05:50If you go into its history,
05:52So even before this happened,
05:54when the companions of the army of Jaish-e-Muhammad became strong,
05:57they started killing people here because they are Ahl-e-Tasheen.
06:01Number two, they support Iran.
06:03There are members of Zain-e-Biyun-Fatimiyun who kill Sunnis in Syria.
06:08So that's why we have to take revenge from them.
06:11And there was also an attack here in 2015.
06:14In which the answer was given that they were actually going to Syria to kill us.
06:18We killed them here.
06:20Along with this, in 2008, Qorum was completely cut from Pakistan.
06:25The reason for this is that the majority of Ahl-e-Tashees live in Qorum.
06:30They have to pass through Lower Qorum to come down.
06:33Where there was a Sunni majority at that time.
06:36So their way was closed. They were coming from Afghanistan.
06:39Between 2007 and 2010, 3,000 people died.
06:43After the death of 3,000 people, there is an agreement in 2011.
06:47Which is called Murree Accords.
06:49Under the Murree Accords, it was decided that the display of weapons will not be done.
06:54Otherwise, there is a fine of 10 lakhs.
06:56It was decided that no one will take revenge for the murder.
06:59Otherwise, there is a fine of 20 lakhs.
07:01It was decided that Ahl-e-Tashees, Maulvis or Sunni Maulvis will not incite violence against each other's religion or sect.
07:13Otherwise, you will be caught and you will have to pay a fine.
07:18But no one agreed to a single clause of this agreement in 2011.
07:22Even after killing 4,000 people, no action was taken.
07:27The state was sleeping.
07:28And now people's land disputes will be solved in terms of personal weapons.
07:33If I have 15-20 guns and you have one gun, then the land is mine.
07:37There is no mediator in between.
07:39The state is completely absent from this.
07:42Where is it? Where is it not?
07:44Young people live in consistent fear.
07:46I have met many people from Parachinar who are very educated.
07:50The reason for this is that there is a very good tendency of education among the Ahl-e-Tashees minority.
07:56So they always say that they do not know that when they are leaving their relatives,
08:00they have to come back and meet them again or just receive the corpses.
08:04See how much consistent fear these people live in.
08:08I remember the lines of Thomas Hobbes in Leviathan in which he says,
08:12Whatsoever, therefore, is consequent to a time of war, where every man is enemy to every man,
08:17the same consequent to the time wherein men live without other security
08:22than what their own strength and their own invention shall furnish them withal.
08:25In such condition, there is no place for industry, no knowledge of the face of the earth,
08:30no account of time, no arts, no letters, no society,
08:34and which is worst of all, continual fear and danger of violent death
08:39and the life of a man, solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.
08:44Thomas Hobbes says that if every man becomes the enemy of another man
08:49and if he is not able to get anything other than his own strength to defend himself,
08:53then as a result, there is no society, no art, no society, no civilization.
09:00And the biggest loss is that one has to live in the shadow of constant fear.
09:07And here, he says, life in a state of nature is nasty, brutish, solitary, and short.
09:12That here, life becomes the prey of oppressors.
09:15It is very small and very strange.
09:18After listening to this line, it seems that we are talking about Parachanar.
09:21And since 2016, the Islamic state of Khurasan exists in Afghanistan.
09:28It has also been attacking here.
09:29The Taliban have also been attacking because Nangarhar province has a border with Qoram.
09:34And you can read the acts they have committed against the Ahl-e-Tashees.
09:38I am still getting messages.
09:39Although, there was a fight in which the people of Hangu and Aurangzeb districts got a ceasefire.
09:45But even now, people are saying that the Taliban has surrounded us from all three directions.
09:49Because when a fight is not fought here,
09:51here, against the Ahl-e-Tashee minority, they bring support from Afghanistan.
09:56Now, even if you argue with them, even if a ceasefire is made, even if a treaty is made,
10:01then who will make a treaty with the cross-border outfits?
10:05Who will make a treaty with them?
10:06That is why you should not think that this is the last incident.
10:10This keeps happening.
10:12Every two or three years, two years ago, they killed eight teachers by cutting them.
10:17And now see what is happening.
10:19And even after this, it will remain the same.
10:20Where is the rate of the state? It is not there.
10:22Is there a judicial system there? It is not there.
10:24Is there a land record system? It is not there.
10:26Is the police system effective? Is the law enforcement system effective? It is not there.
10:30The minister of the province who is saying that Jirga should make a decision,
10:33he is saying that you have your own system, your own state.
10:36We do not own you.
10:38And let's move ahead.
10:40If I talk about the situation of Gawadar,
10:42Maram Baloch Sahiba, who heads the Baloch Jaiti Committee,
10:46she came to Islamabad in 2023 with a protest.
10:49Balach-Baloch case was filed.
10:50She also launched a movement on that.
10:52She announced months ago that we are going to march for Gawadar.
10:57She did not get permission before.
10:59Apart from this, the protest starts.
11:02There is a shutdown at 14 locations.
11:06If not thousands, if not lakhs,
11:08then there are thousands of women and men sitting on the streets.
11:12You can see the footages.
11:14Apart from this, international attention is being given.
11:17A picture was put up by Greta Thunberg.
11:20Stand with Balochistan.
11:21She used the word genocide.
11:24Baloch Raji Muchi is calling it the National Gathering of Balochs.
11:30And he is saying that all the people who are missing,
11:35which the VBMP claims,
11:37which are the organizations of Balochistan,
11:39I do not claim that there are around 6,000.
11:41Some figures say that there are around 2,000.
11:43They should be brought back.
11:45Apart from this, they say that they did not get anything from CPEC.
11:48They did not get any share.
11:50They say that there is segregation
11:52regarding Gawadar and other places for Balochs.
11:55Where bloggers go, take a bath,
11:57put up pictures of the beach,
11:59but Baloch cannot come close.
12:01Apart from this, if we talk about other issues in Balochistan,
12:05they are not addressed.
12:08That is why these marches come out
12:10and then the state has to confront later.
12:12I condemn the lives of one FC soldier in this protest.
12:17Violence cannot be accepted under any circumstances.
12:20Be it the BLA or any other organization.
12:23But countries all over the world come up with a solution
12:26for such movements, and that is development.
12:29If you do development,
12:31then such movements themselves become relevant.
12:34If I educate children in Balochistan,
12:38if I end malnutrition in Balochistan,
12:41if I provide clean drinking water,
12:44if I build roads and universities,
12:46if I develop them,
12:48then who will listen to the BLA or any separatist
12:51or human rights organization?
12:53So who is giving them air?
12:55The only answer to this is that you are traitors,
12:58you have support from India,
13:00you take money from outside.
13:02This will not solve any problem.
13:04This will not stop any voice.
13:06How many operations have been done in Balochistan?
13:08Five operations have been done.
13:101948, 1958, 1962, 1973, and then 2002.
13:14Mr. Bhukti was killed.
13:16What was the solution? Nothing.
13:18If you keep using force, nothing will happen.
13:21Development is the only answer which no one is talking about.
13:25If you look at it till now,
13:2785% of the people, according to stats,
13:30are not provided with clean drinking water in Balochistan.
13:3385% of the people of Balochistan
13:36are drinking animal drinking water,
13:39from ponds.
13:4170% of the children in Balochistan
13:43are out of school children,
13:45at the age they should be in school.
13:47There are only 134 hospitals,
13:49which are in a city in the first world.
13:52Apart from this,
13:54Balochistan has given revenue of $2 billion from Sandak.
13:59What did Baloch get?
14:01Almost nothing.
14:03There were clashes in Mastung,
14:05and it was claimed by the BYC
14:07that they fired on the bus,
14:09apart from this,
14:11the government of Balochistan
14:13says that they have attacked our soldiers.
14:16There is confrontation from both sides.
14:18There is one more front.
14:20We don't know how to deal with it.
14:22An intelligent approach is not being taken.
14:24If these people's problems are not solved,
14:27then you will only condemn them.
14:29That will not solve the problem.
14:31The problem was to bring the political system and solve it.
14:34When you hold elections,
14:36you bring puppets like the Baab Party,
14:38who do not represent the people.
14:40There is no point in making thousands of such governments.
14:43The reason is that people say that
14:45they do not have any representatives.
14:47Which parliament? Which political parties?
14:49Whether they brought the bourgeoisie system or not.
14:51Whether they made the bureaucracy system effective or not.
14:54Whether they gave education or not.
14:56Whether they gave resources or not.
14:58Whether they gave security or not.
15:00But yes, we need silence from now on.
15:02There is no solution in that.
15:04The third incident was in Bannu.
15:06Hafiz Gul Bahadur's group, who operates from Afghanistan,
15:09attacked Bannu.
15:10Eight soldiers lost their lives.
15:12There was a huge loss.
15:14Who is dying?
15:15Security personnel are dying.
15:17We have to stop their loss.
15:19This is a concern.
15:21It is not a point of triumph for any organization.
15:24Which we will lord by sitting here.
15:26So that happens.
15:28And then we talk about military operation.
15:31More than 10,000 people march peacefully in Bannu.
15:34They come out with flags in their hands.
15:36They protest and say that
15:38we do not consider the operation to be a solution.
15:41The reason for that is that
15:43the operation has been going on for decades.
15:45Nothing has happened.
15:47They say that in the form of security committees,
15:49the solution of terrorism,
15:51that these security committees will fight the TTP,
15:53they themselves are involved in violence.
15:55They themselves are involved in taking revenge.
15:57And the second thing is that if there is a state,
15:59then why is the state taking action?
16:01It will have to do it itself.
16:03So they march against it.
16:05And there is an accusation that
16:07they went towards the cantonment.
16:09They made a wall fall.
16:11Some were accused of looting.
16:13There was a firing in response.
16:15HRCP claims that five people lost their lives.
16:18The locals who were telling me,
16:20they were saying that the casualties are more.
16:22The state says that it is probably one.
16:24Despite this,
16:26there was firing on the protesters.
16:29If someone has committed a theft,
16:31present it in court and later convict him.
16:33Do what the law says.
16:35But after that, the situation was aggravated.
16:37And now the situation is that
16:3916 demands have been raised,
16:41which have been accepted.
16:43But in the longer run,
16:45they have been assured not to do this operation.
16:47Which cannot be done.
16:49You will have to do that too.
16:51What is the alternative to that,
16:53we do not even know.
16:55Because the situation has come to such an extent
16:57that things have gone.
16:59Ghulam-un-Wazir is murdered in Islamabad.
17:01After that, the protest of PTM
17:03is carried out in the form of PTM March.
17:05Now on 11 October,
17:07they have announced
17:09the Pashtun National Jirga.
17:11That is, they will set up their own court.
17:13And you can see the recent statements
17:15of the heads of PTM.
17:17No matter if they are accepted or not.
17:19They are saying that
17:21maybe it will be difficult for us to live with you now.
17:23So these are the things.
17:25So these are the things
17:27that you cannot
17:29forcefully curtail.
17:31In this, grievances will have to be resolved.
17:33Issues will have to be heard.
17:35And these communities
17:37will have to stop being considered as stepchildren.
17:39Like TLP has come to Islamabad
17:41and has been
17:43made to declare
17:45that Israel is a terrorist.
17:47And you said later.
17:49Those who bring the demand list,
17:51they sit in the AC room
17:53and negotiate.
17:55What happens here?
17:57What is happening in Quram?
17:59Or what is happening in Gwadar?
18:01Or what happened in Bannu?
18:03Which AC room? Which deputy minister?
18:05No one has gone there.
18:07Apart from this,
18:09the GSU is attacked by Tehrik-e-Insaf.
18:11And their head is being fed
18:13to a country hen in jail.
18:15They are being given a treadmill.
18:17On the one hand, this is the treatment.
18:19And on the other hand,
18:21when it comes to the difference between
18:23domiciles, people get angry.
18:25Who is clarifying this difference?
18:27Right now, in Kashmir,
18:29some time ago,
18:31protests took place.
18:33Bills were burnt.
18:35Shia-Sunni chaos was created in Gilgit
18:37through different legislations.
18:39There was insecurity.
18:41There was confrontation.
18:43Khalsa government came out against the laws.
18:45What is happening in Balochistan?
18:47I have told you.
18:49Apart from this,
18:51look at what is happening
18:53in other places.
18:55What happened in Karachi recently?
18:57There was firing. 12 people were killed.
18:59If Punjab is silent,
19:01there is political grievance
19:03as to why Tehrik-e-Insaf was removed.
19:05They were brought back.
19:07The election was not good.
19:09What is left behind? Nothing.
19:11Nobody is on the side of the government.
19:13If we do not
19:15solve these issues
19:17then this situation
19:19will escalate.
19:21To end this,
19:23we will have to give rights to these people.
19:25We will have to bring a political system.
19:27First of all, we will have to stop distributing
19:29certificates of treachery.
19:31We will have to stop being stepchildren.
19:33We will have to act on the NFC award.
19:35We will have to act on the National Action Plan.
19:37Apart from this,
19:39we will have to implement the RIT of the state.
19:41We will not let people
19:43fight each other in the elections.
19:45We will not let people
19:47sit and decide
19:49and watch the drama.
19:51We will have to address
19:53the grievances of the people
19:55coming to Gwadar.
19:57If Faraz Bugti says
19:59that they are coming
20:01to defame us,
20:03this is not the answer.
20:05I say that as a Pakistani,
20:07not as a supporter of any local community.
20:09It is being said
20:11in the larger good of the nation.
20:13Thirdly,
20:15if you want to solve the issues
20:17of the ex-FATA or Pashtun community,
20:19you will have to listen to them as well.
20:21I think that
20:23this is a moment of paradigm shift.
20:25If we do not
20:27get our act together in this moment,
20:29history will give us
20:31very bad examples.
20:33This is the last chance.
20:35I hope that sense will prevail.
20:37And sense will only prevail
20:39only when
20:41we will not consider
20:43every issue as a nail
20:45that we will try
20:47to hit with a hammer.
20:49Instead, we should talk,
20:51contest, develop,
20:53and come to solutions.
20:55We should stay in our circle
20:57and decide.
20:59Whatever comes out of it,
21:01whether it is the judiciary,
21:03establishment or politicians,
21:05will always harm the nation.
21:07The children of Pashtun, Baloch,
21:09will have to start considering themselves as children.
21:11Thank you.
