00:00Hey, I'm Matt, producer for Rugby 25.
00:11First off, a huge thanks to everyone who has participated in the Early Access for Rugby
00:1425 so far.
00:15We've had an incredible amount of helpful feedback, this has been amazing to see.
00:19We're so excited for you to come along with us on this Early Access journey with such
00:23passion for the game.
00:25Let's go over some things for the release of Early Access 2.
00:28While our dev team keep working on the gameplay and features, which we'll be going over soon,
00:32the photogrammetry and art team have been working on the player visuals.
00:37And we're ready to bring you seven teams with new visuals.
00:40From the URC, we have Ospreys, Dragons, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Connacht.
00:55Then from the Gallagher Premiership, we have the 2023-24 finalists, Bath, and the champion
01:02Northampton Saints.
01:05There are now more places for you to play, with Allianz Stadium in Sydney the newest
01:10official stadium to be added.
01:16Beyond that, we have further new stadiums in Northampton, Parma, and Tulloch.
01:27While the art team has been working on these additions, the gameplay team has been hard
01:31at work on updates and additions as well.
01:33One of the biggest pieces of feedback was to improve the feel and impact for tackles,
01:38and in this update we're able to deliver a significant improvement to the tackling system.
01:42Players will now tackle in a much more authentic way, with a heavier feel to the motions.
01:47We've used your feedback to shift dive tackle to the Y button, with the B button remaining
01:51for a standard tackle.
01:55Also high among the feedback was to work on improving passing.
01:58We've made a number of improvements to the quality of passing, as well as reducing the
02:02rate of incomplete passes.
02:04Rucks have also had a refresh, with a rebalancing of the mechanics to make it more of a contest,
02:09and to speed up using the ball out of them.
02:12Steals have been balanced, and now there's a tooltip indicator showing the timing of
02:16when a steal is available.
02:18Mauls have been enabled to this EA2 release, and will be the main added gameplay feature.
02:22We would appreciate as much feedback on this as possible.
02:26In addition to what we've covered, a large number of other improvements and tweaks have
02:29been made.
02:30See the written patch notes for some of the ones we didn't cover in this video.
