Acting Secret Service Director 'Ashamed' by Lack of Proper Roof Security in Trump Assassination Attempt, Aims to Boost Security Measures

Acting Director of the US Secret Service Ronald Rowe will testify before Congress on Tuesday about security failures that led to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. Rowe visited the site of the shooting in Pennsylvania and said he was "ashamed" by what he saw, noting the roof from which the shooter fired was not properly secured. Rowe has directed the Secret Service to have multiple experienced supervisors thoroughly review security plans for all future events to prevent lapses. The Secret Service is boosting security measures like reinforced details and threat assessments for protectees in light of the failures during the Trump shooting.
