00:19As the girls' introduction, I'm shedding her green jacket,
00:23the little Irish lassie, Velvet McIntyre,
00:27versus the black-and-white-clad Dallas cowgirl, Wendy Richter.
00:32Jim, this should really be a lot of action.
00:34It sure should, and I'll tell you, someone's got his work cut out for him.
00:37That's referee Alfred Neely in the ring right now,
00:39because one thing about it, you don't get to fishiate,
00:42and from my experience anyway, you don't fishiate girls' matches that often.
00:46And when you do encounter one, it poses an entirely different concept
00:49as far as the fish shedding's concerned, even though the rules are still the same.
00:53The girls move a little differently.
00:55They're going to execute a little bit differently.
00:57They're going to utilize some maneuvers that only they are going to do.
01:01And I'll say this, that referee, even though he's a super official,
01:05referee Neely will have his hands full in this match.
01:10Boy, these two lady wrestlers, two of the top lady wrestlers
01:13in the entire sport of professional wrestling.
01:16I happened to see a card in Madison Square Garden not too long ago,
01:19and these two young ladies had a tremendous match,
01:22and it's great that Grizzly Smith can have this rematch right here on Mid-South.
01:25It just shows the clout and the caliber and credibility
01:30of this tremendous organization, Mid-South Sports,
01:33and bringing the fans week after week the greatest wrestling talent,
01:37whether it be male or female, right here to the television screen.
01:42You know, boy, coming up a little bit later here today on wrestling,
01:45we're going to have some tremendous videotape highlights
01:48of some matches that have happened around the country.
01:50Right here expressly on Mid-South Wrestling.
01:53I know that people are going to want to see,
01:55plus we've got Terry Gibbs against the Assassin.
01:57I'm interested to see the Assassin's tactics.
01:59Will Skandar Akbar come out with the Assassin? Who knows?

02:11Right now, Wendy Richter on the outside of the ring
02:13telling referee Alfred Neely to move Velvet McIntyre back,
02:18but McIntyre brings Wendy back in the ring herself.
02:23I've noticed this Velvet McIntyre has really got some
02:27tremendous scientific wrestling skills that she tries to utilize,
02:30much the converse of the style of the cowgirl from Texas, Wendy Richter.
02:35And one thing about Wendy Richter that the fans might want to notice
02:39as the match progresses, she has got some tremendous muscle definition.
02:43She works out on the weights. She goes to the gymnasium.
02:46She's in tremendous condition.
02:48Probably one of the strongest girl wrestlers to be in the square circle
02:52in many, many years.
02:53In the 10 or 12 years that I've been associated with professional wrestling,
02:56she's the strongest girl wrestler that I've seen in competition.
03:06Well, we talked about the referee earlier.
03:09We talked about the referee earlier, and I know how Neely feels right now.
03:14I've been in a basic same type of predicament on occasion.
03:18It's a very humiliating feeling to get in this type of situation.
03:25And the girl from Texas is treading on thin ice.
03:29She touches the official.
03:31That could be construed as a disqualification.
03:34Now Neely's talking to Velvet McIntyre.
03:37This is a very capable official.
03:39He's going to have order restored here very quickly.
03:44Now, of course, I'm sure all the fans at home are anxiously awaiting
03:47that tremendous six-man tag team match be a main event anywhere in the country.
03:52Because you've got a tremendous tag team in the one-man gang offensive
03:56against Mr. Olympia, that rowdy Texan Dick Murdoch,
04:00and probably the greatest box office attraction
04:02in all of professional wrestling, the Junkyard Dog.

04:06Wendy Rister has Velvet McIntyre by the hair of the head,
04:10slinging her all the way across the ring, holding on.
04:12Here comes a dropkick by McIntyre, gamely fighting back now,
04:16taking the attack to the Dallas Cowgirls, going across the ring.
04:21Velvet McIntyre got just a little bit over-anxious there in that maneuver,
04:25and Richter very wisely moved out of the way.
04:27She missed the dropkick, and now Richter's taking back over on the offensive.
04:33Good maneuver, great maneuver.
04:35We've got a pinning predicament right here, and she's got her down.
04:37That's for three.
04:39That was only a good one. It was a winning one.
