00:00Hello everyone. Today I'm reviewing the Old Dutch BBQ. Now strangely enough, I've never
00:08actually had BBQ chips from Old Dutch. I've had other chips, and I've also reviewed some
00:14newer chips flavors that they've had. But I've never actually had BBQ. My favorite BBQ,
00:20and I didn't know this before, is, well, I didn't know this before because they changed
00:25the flavor. When I was younger, BBQ used to have a spicy type flavor to it. A zing. Not
00:33like a spicy, you would have to taste it to know what I'm saying. The original BBQ. Then
00:38they changed the recipe. And I was like, I knew the recipe got changed, but I didn't
00:43understand. Then a friend said, well they have two one, two BBQs. And I was like, well
00:48what do they call, do they call the other one the original BBQ? And those were Lays.
00:53So Lays actually changed their BBQ chips. In the 80s they tasted differently. You can
00:58still get those two type of different flavors. But Old Dutch, for some reason, I just never
01:03tried Old Dutch. I like the little dipping sauce there. Watch me open it up and it has
01:09a little dipping sauce. That would be kind of weird. And they're just plain chips telling
01:12you to dip it in sauce. Well, I certainly hope not. But Old Dutch, gluten free, quality
01:18lives here. And I'm just going to read here. We've been committed to quality snacking for
01:26over a decade, which makes us the largest operating snack food company in Canada. That's
01:33the longest relationship, especially these days. Especially these days. And of course
01:38they have Facebook, Instagram, and all that on the back there. Even Twitter, even so it's
01:42not called Twitter anymore. It's called X. 235 grams. And they also have a website and
01:51a whole bunch of things at the back. 270 calories. The fat is 21%. The trans fat is 5%. The fiber
01:58is 7%. Sugar 2%. Sodium 17%. Potassium 13%. And potassium is actually important. Because
02:06if you lack potassium and you're tired all the time, and I'm sure I've said this before,
02:13have a banana. Because it could be because you have not enough potassium in your body.
02:20When you get older, potassium kind of leaves your body. And your body always needs to be
02:25balanced properly with iron and all that. Some people have too much iron. And if you
02:30produce too much iron, you have to get blood out of you every week. Or you will die because
02:35you can't have too much iron. So your body really needs a balance out. So a banana and
02:41potassium is important. I get too much potassium. So if I ate a banana, I would get a banana
02:47potassium headache. Yes, a potassium headache from having too much of something in your
02:52body. It's true. Calcium 1% and iron 6%. Now there's very little ingredients here. Potatoes
03:00vegetables. Well, there better be. Vegetables, oil, sugar, salt, spices, garlic powder, onion
03:08powder. I know that onion powder seems to be used a lot in a lot of chips now. I've
03:13noticed that. Yeast, abstracts, spikes, and national smoke flavor. So the smoke flavor
03:19which should be very light. Because it's always the first ingredient that's more. And then
03:25as it goes down, they're less of the ingredients. Well, they've got a whole bunch of information
03:32on the back. Alright, I'll open it up. Actually, they smell stale. You know, for what you...they
03:43smell stale. You know what? I've smelled stuff before. They smell bad, but they actually
03:49taste good. But the smell would really kind of...I don't really...wow. Shit. They taste
04:08good. Yeah, I like them. They're a nice barbecue flavor. I still like my Lay's the best though,
04:14from the 80's. Hmm. It's not overwhelming. It's actually a nice barbecue flavor. It's
04:45a barbecue flavor with a hint of smoke. I like them. I would actually give this a 7.5
04:51out of 10. A 7.5 out of 10. Go home. Just open the bag. But the smells...it just smells
05:02bad. It turns you off because...it's actually turning me...no. It's making my nose smell
05:09things funny now. It just...so if you overcome the smell, unless it will smell differently
05:14to you, the taste is actually really good. And there's quite a bit in there too. Alright
05:20everyone. A 7 out of 10. Or did I say a 7.5 out of 10? A 7 out of 10 everyone. I enjoy
05:28these. And maybe I will get the Lay's comparison and show you the old Lay's to the new Lay's
05:36because I didn't know that they changed it. Well, I had senses that they did. Alright.
