00:00Hello, welcome. You are watching OneNeedy. I am Shivam Jha. We have some students to
00:04speak but what is the topic on which they are going to speak, I will tell you. The incident
00:11night, there were 35 students who were stuck in the basement. Three were found dead and
00:1832 who survived. We are not getting them. I have personally tried to, you know, find
00:25them but they are not here. Other students are protesting but the survivors who survived
00:31in that, you know, basement, they are not here. Now I have a question to you since you
00:38all are protesting. What happened? Where are they? Those who survived, those 30 or 32 people?
00:44No idea where are they because after casualties, police pick up and after picking them up,
00:54we don't know whether they went home from the hospital or they are in their room or
00:59police is still keeping them for evidence. But we don't know anything yet. They are not
01:05with us yet. It is confirmed that 12-13 students have already gone out. Police has told those
01:10students that you will not come out, you will not come in front of the media, you will not
01:14come in this protest. That is why they are not able to come. The biggest thing that you
01:18are just uncovering right now that they have been banned from speaking. They cannot speak
01:24in a public, they cannot speak to the media. Exactly. Same thing because if they come,
01:29they will tell the reality. Actually, what is the reality inside. That is why if those
01:33students come, then there will be transparency. They are perhaps the eyewitness. Right. Exactly.
01:38They want that there is no transparency. They manipulate us as they want. That three casualties
01:44have happened and nothing has happened. I am saying that three casualties have happened.
01:48Rest, some people have even been injured. Where are the injured? They are not coming
01:52out. Where are they? It is not that they were not from here. This is the biggest concern.
01:57Those who survived, they are not here. You all are protesting here. You know, you are
02:01the friends who died. Yes. But eventually the question will arise that where are the
02:05survivors? Now, have you ever questioned to the police or asked the police that where
02:09were the survivors? The police picked everyone up from here. They took everyone to the hospital
02:14that we will get it checked. After that, the police have given them a clear order that
02:19you don't want to talk. You don't want to go out. This is the reason why they are not
02:23able to come here. Otherwise, why won't they come? This is not an individual protest.
02:27This is an entire student protest. It is going on for everyone. The children who have already
02:31left, they are their friends. So, it doesn't mean that they don't want to come. The simple
02:35thing is that the police should come and tell us what has happened after the children
02:39have been taken to the hospital. Have they reached home? Are they still with them?
02:44How have you got this information that they were not allowed to speak earlier also and
02:51they are not allowed to speak right now also? How have you got this information? You know
02:55someone has told you or someone of your friend, you know, has accepted this and told you.
03:14This is a key report. Investigation is going on. 3-4 teams have been made.
03:18Sir, we don't know what all has happened in the investigation.
03:22I will say this clearly. Transparency is zero.
03:25Investigation details have not come out yet. So, the questions are arising right now.
03:30But, the question will remain the same. Where are the survivors?
03:34Now, I have joined with another student. You are a student here?
03:37Yes.
03:38So, you are also preparing for UPSC?
03:40Yes.
03:41What exactly happened with those who survived in that basement, you know,
03:45the 30 or 32 students who came out from that or 3 had, you know, unfortunately died?
03:50So, what happened with them?
03:51Sir, the first thing that is being told through the media and we have been seeing on the media
03:55since yesterday that we have lost 3 people. But, this is not a matter of 3 people, sir.
04:01Some of our colleagues here have said that some of their room partners,
04:04some of their fellow colleagues who were studying here,
04:06there are about 10-12 casualties.
04:09The second thing that is being told to us is that some people were only injured
04:15and they did not die much.
04:18But, our question is that where are the people who were injured?
04:22What happened to them? In which hospital are they?
04:25In what condition are they?
04:26Have you people, since you are protesting here, have you people asked the police
04:30or administration that where were they?
04:32No, the administration is not going to listen to anything, sir.
04:35Have you asked or not, what I am asking, have you asked ever,
04:38you know, you all are protesting here, have you asked them,
04:41police officers or administration, whoever, you know, have come here,
04:44have you asked this?
04:45No, we could not talk about it.
04:47One of our colleagues has filed an RTI in the Supreme Court,
04:52who is an advocate of money.
04:54He has filed an RTI that how many people were inside, we need their number.
04:57How many were rescued outside, we need their number.
05:00And how many people we have lost there, we need their number.
05:04What we have not been given till now,
05:06we have been given a time of 48 hours,
05:08that in 48 hours, the answer of RTI will come.
05:10If the answer of RTI does not come in 48 hours,
05:12then in violation of RTI, we will file a case against them.
05:16Now, I have one question to you also.
05:19I want to say one more thing, sir.
05:21Our system, the administration that you are saying,
05:24it has become such that one incident has happened,
05:26our focus has become on this, news, administration,
05:29and all other people, of India, that this incident has happened,
05:32it should not happen again.
05:34But the thing is that it will not happen again.
05:36There are thousands of incidents related to this.
05:38This is only the matter here.
05:40Similarly, there is an institute in Mukherjee Nagar,
05:43Vardhaman Plaza Institute,
05:45in which visual coaching is going on.
05:4710,000 children are in coaching at one time,
05:49in some test rooms, in some libraries, in some classrooms.
05:51On those 10,000 children, that building is so dilapidated,
05:54then in 5 seconds, it will be destroyed,
05:56no one knows.
05:58And on this, the coaching people beat themselves up,
06:00that 10,000 children are taught in this coaching.
06:02But this is a matter of thinking,
06:04how long will it be destroyed?
06:06Now, what you were talking about earlier,
06:08what your perception is all about on the protest,
06:10and now, second point,
06:12where are those survivors who lived there?
06:1435 were stuck in that basement,
06:163 only died,
06:18and whoever these 30 or 32 people,
06:2032 students,
06:22who came out from there,
06:24where were they?
06:26These questions will remain same.
06:28We have a lot of aspirants residing here only.
06:30Just because we don't want to reveal their identity,
06:32just because we don't want a media trial here,
06:34that's why they are fearful,
06:36and they are in their rooms,
06:38and some of them went to their homes.
06:40But what I want to raise an issue,
06:42that you were asking,
06:44was one of my fellow aspirants,
06:46that where were the police?
06:48Sir, I am telling you that,
06:50any incident happens here,
06:52no police takes interest.
06:54They always support the landlords,
06:56they don't care about the aspirants.
06:58They just want to extract money from us.
07:00I got your point.
07:02We will make a story on that differently.
07:04I am talking right now,
07:06those survivors,
07:08since you told me right now,
07:10they are in their rooms,
07:12they are in fear,
07:14they are in fear,
07:16but one of your friend,
07:18just right now told me,
07:20they have been threatened by the police,
07:22do not speak,
07:24how come you both have different opinions?
07:26We won't let their voices down,
07:28we are with them,
07:30if police will make a pressure,
07:32we will stand beside him or her,
07:34but we won't let this moment down.
07:36We will be standing with them.
07:38This moment will go on,
07:40what will be the last,
07:42consequential demand from your side,
07:44what the police administration should accept?
07:46We want that,
07:48how many people were struck there,
07:50and we want that,
07:52how many more people have died,
07:54how more students have died,
07:56tell this immediately,
07:58make things transparent to us,
08:00what happened,
08:02and who are responsible.
08:04Thank you very much,
08:06you are watching One India,
08:08tune in to One India, thank you.
