00:00The OFWs are now in high hopes for the quality of service and training to the so-called new heroes of the country.
00:07Let's find out what Noel Talacay has to say about this.
00:12OFW repatriation or sending OFWs back to the Philippines
00:18because of the various problems they experienced in the government programs.
00:26Since the start of the war in Israel, more than 800 OFWs have been sent home from Israel, Lebanon, the West Bank, and Gaza.
00:39According to the Philippine Statistical Authority, in 2022, more than 2.24 million OFWs from different parts of the world
00:49were sent home by the Philippine government during the COVID-19 pandemic.
00:55According to the leadership of the Overseas Workers' Welfare Administration or OWA,
01:00their repatriation program became fast and well-organized
01:04because it was recognized by Certification International Philippines, Inc. or CIP.
01:12We must remember that repatriation involves international action and coordination
01:19and proper funding and all the other nitty-gritty and technicalities of the requirements on how to deliver repatriation properly.
01:29In total, four core services of the OWA were given an ISO certification
01:36which is considered an international standard in the system of quality management
01:42and it serves as a basis for organizations and agencies to ensure that the highest quality of service will be provided to customers and the public.
01:54The ISO 91115 certification is not just a piece of paper.
02:00It is a testament to our unwavering dedication to providing quality, efficient, and effective services to our OFWs and families.
02:10It symbolizes our continuous effort to improve and innovate in all aspects of our operation.
02:18Ignacio also assured that they will be even more dedicated in providing their services,
02:24especially to the OFWs in need.
02:28Ignacio believes that the day will come when all OWA services will be ISO certified.
02:36We need to work even harder so that all our services will be certified.
02:46According to the Philippine Statistic Authority or PSA in 2023,
02:52more than 2.33 million Filipinos are now working in different parts of the country.
02:58According to the OWA, they will continue to create ways, services, and programs
03:05that will not only provide benefits to OFWs but will also comply with international standards.
