00:15Okay Mickey, so what do you think of the turnout here today for Miles for Men?
00:18As always, the Town coming out to support the People's Charity, truly amazing.
00:24We've got the sun, we've got the people, the music, some of the families that are here today who we support.
00:31We've got Team Teddy here, we've got Riley coming to set all the runners off.
00:35All the teams have banged at it there and there.
00:38We've got what we asked for, we've got the weather, which we haven't had for the last few years.
00:43We dedicate ourselves to the town and whatever comes in, it'll go back out to the community.
00:49We started off in 2012, we said we'd raise a couple of quid and now we're over three quarters of a million donators.
00:56So we're heading off to the million pounds now, so it's something that we said we would like to do.
01:02We didn't think we would actually be here doing it, obviously, because we only wanted to raise a few quid in memory of my dad and Stewie Gaffney.
01:10And here we are now today, 12 years later.
01:13We're at Miles for Men and I'm with the first runner home, Bobby.
01:16Bobby, what was it like?
01:17It was very hard conditions. It was very, very hot, but very good atmosphere.
01:23Very good welcoming when I came home. Family watching made it better as well.
01:29There were a few family members getting in your way as you were coming over the finishing line, wasn't there?
01:33Yeah, very good. Delighted to win.
01:37What would you say if anybody was thinking about doing it? Would you advise them to come down and get involved?
01:41Definitely. Good bit of fitness, good bit of exercise, social stuff. There's lots to do.
01:47Yeah, it's alright. You don't have to compete, but if you come down, have a bit of a laugh.
