Southport MP Patrick Hurley says the whole town is in "shock and mourning" following the stabbing attack which left two children dead and nine others with critical injuries. "It's a very small town, Southport, and so many people will be impacted firsthand. They will know the families and they will know the children themselves," he said.

00:30I think it's important that we let the emergency services and the police do their job
00:37but most importantly we look to see if we can come together as a town
