| via Raffy Tima/GMA Integrated News

00:00I'm here in the middle of Manila Bay, near Corridor Island.
00:06Earlier, we passed by the area where the motor tanker Terra Nova crashed.
00:11And we saw several Philippine Coast Guard ships anchored there.
00:15Two oil spill booms were also deployed in the area so that the oil wouldn't spread.
00:21The concern of the local officials, especially the fishermen here in Manila Bay,
00:26is that the oil spill from the shore of Cavite to here in Bataan
00:32could reach up to here, even if it's just a thin layer of oil on top of the water.
00:38Even if the oil spill is this small, it could affect the quality of the water.
00:44The reason is so that the fishermen could be affected.
00:47Usually, this is the only source of income for the fishermen.
00:51Even if it's just a small effect on the quality of the water in the sea,
00:54it could result in the loss of livelihood.
00:57Hopefully, this problem will be resolved soon.
01:01From here in Manila Bay, Rafi Timan, reporting for GMA Integrated News.
