00:00The third and final reading of the Senate passed the bill to amend the Motorcycle Crime Prevention Act, or DOBLE PLAKALO.

00:11Under Senate Bill No. 2555, the Land Transportation Office will issue a readable plate number and RFID stickers for each motorcycle.

00:22The fine for riders who violate traffic rules will be lower.

00:27The renewal of motorcycle owners was extended until June 30, 2025.

00:33The LTO was given until December 31, 2025 for the plates to be released.

00:39In 2019, former President Rodrigo Duterte signed the RA-11235 that prohibits the use of motorcycles in crime in the country.

00:49The law prohibits groups of riders from protesting against the installation of large plates.
