Robert Downey Jr. Returns to Marvel as Dr. Doom in Upcoming Avengers Films

Robert Downey Jr. will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to play the villain Doctor Doom in the upcoming films Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars. The two films will be released in 2026 and 2027, respectively. Downey Jr. portrayed Tony Stark's Ironman in several Marvel films, which helped launch the successful MCU franchise. He was revealed on stage at San Diego Comic-Con wearing Doctor Doom's mask and cloak before unveiling himself. Doctor Doom is a well-known villain in the Marvel comics who will now be brought to the big screen by Downey Jr. in the upcoming Avengers films.
