11:56With that in mind, it doesn't surprise that Indian EV industry has been in huge expansion over the last few years

12:03and that the market is already crowded with amazing EVs.

12:06STROM MOTORS R3, 4 Lock

12:10The Strom Motors R3 is probably the best way to start this chapter,

12:14as it perfectly showcases the technological leap the Indian automotive industry has been making lately.

12:19Priced at around 4 Lock, the R3 stands out with its futuristic three-wheel layout,

12:24which is complemented by a nicely designed cabin with space for two.

12:28Besides the styling, this EV also offers solid performance,

12:32including a top speed of 80 km per hour and a max range of around 200 km.

12:38TATA TIEGO EV, 7 Lock

12:42TATA is a major name in the business, with a history that spans decades.

12:47Therefore, it doesn't surprise that many of its EVs are actually modified versions of cars that were originally gas-powered vehicles.

12:53The TIEGO is one of them, with a practical hatchback design that ensures excellent maneuverability in combination with decent interior space.

13:01Moreover, it comes with a 55 kW electric motor and a 19 kWh battery pack that provides 250 km on a single charge.

13:09All that comes with a pretty attractive sticker price of 7 Lock.

13:16Mahindra XUV400 EV, 15 Lock

13:21We know that the title says small and affordable EVs, but we had to include this one in the list.

13:27After all, it meets the criterion, it's affordable.

13:30On the other hand, we can't say it's the smallest EV around, considering its measurements and the SUV body style.

13:36Besides size, it offers attractive aesthetics and a well-equipped cabin, while the 110 kW electric motor promises strong performances as well.

13:44Finally, there is a 50 kWh battery and a max range of 450 km.

13:49And with all that taken into account, it's hard to believe that the starting price is just 15 Lock.

13:55TATO Nano EV, 5 Lock

13:59The TATO Nano EV is probably the cheapest EV you can buy in India, with a starting price of around 5 Lock.

14:06For that sum, you can get a rather familiar layout because, once again, TATO converted one of its gas-powered models.

14:13It's about a tiny car that works perfectly in combination with an all-electric setup, a top speed of 80 km per hour, along with a max range of 160 km.

14:22As well as the standard equipment that includes dual airbags and a 7-inch infotainment screen make the Nano EV an excellent choice for anyone looking for cheap transportation.

14:32PMV EASE, 4 Lock

14:36Here comes another super affordable micro car, the PMV EASE.

14:41Tiny dimensions make this vehicle an excellent solution for urban jungles, while the max range of 160 km ensures trouble-free daily commuting.

14:50Speaking of everyday rides, it's good to know that there is a 30-liter cargo area, while the 10 kW electric motor seems capable enough to move this two-seated with ease.

14:59As for the price, it starts at around 4 Lock.

15:02TATA Curve EV, 10 Lock

15:06A modern crossover design with a sloping coupe-like roofline, it's hard to believe that such a gorgeous looking car will soon be available in India for just 10 Lock.

15:16The all-new TATA Curve EV is coming soon, and while the company still keeps technical details a secret, we have no doubt that this model will make huge success on the market because it's hard to believe that such an attractive design won't be followed by decent performance.

15:32TATA Punch EV, 10 Lock

15:36The list of small and affordable crossovers from the major Indian carmaker goes on, and the next one is called TATA Punch EV.

15:43Characterized by a modern styling and a high-quality interior, the Punch is one of the latest additions to the lineup, so it doesn't surprise.

15:51It also comes with pretty advanced tech, starting from a 90 kW electric motor that needs 9.5 seconds to get to 100 km an hour.

15:59As for the battery, a 35 kWh pack ensures up to 400 km of range, while a decently fast 50 kW charging is yet another benefit that comes with this crossover, priced at 10 Lock.

16:14Then comes the land of the rising sun, home of one of the leading automotive industries in the world.

16:21But this is also a country that's already overwhelmed with nuclear plants, so it doesn't surprise that neither the government nor the automakers are pushing EVs particularly hard.

16:30Still, with the impressive tradition of the so-called K-Car segment, the implementation of all-electric technology seems so natural.

16:38As a result, there were a few tiny EVs on offer.

16:42NISSAN SECURA, 2.3 Million Yen

16:46The most famous small EV is, of course, Nissan Secura, a model that accounts for half of all EVs sold in the country.

16:54A model that starts at around 2.3 million yen.

16:57Design-wise, it's a typical K-Car with a five-door hatchback layout that strictly follows the rules of the segment when it comes to dimensions.

17:04The only difference is that instead of a turbocharged gas engine you would typically find, there is a 47 kW electric motor in combination with a 20 kWh battery pack

17:18MITSUBISHI EKX EV, 2.3 Million Yen

17:23Mitsubishi became part of Renault-Nissan alliance a while ago, so it doesn't surprise that many of its models are actually nothing more than rebadged variants of Nissan cars.

17:33The EKX EV is one of them, and things are mostly the same as in the case of the aforementioned Secura.

17:39The two models share pretty much everything, not just in terms of the electric motor and the battery, but also in terms of size proportions, etc.

17:46Even the cabin looks pretty much the same.

17:49So the only reason to pick it over Nissan's iteration is if you like Mitsubishi's front-end design more.

17:55TOYOTA C-PLUS POD, 1,650,000 Yen

18:00Still, neither Nissan's nor Mitsubishi's iteration is the cheapest EV you can buy in Japan.

18:05That title goes to the TOYOTA C-PLUS POD, a small two-seat that also belongs to the K-segment but has a starting price of around 1,650,000 Yen.

18:15A pretty unique exterior design is why this model stands out.

18:19On the other hand, the 9 kWh battery pack and the max range of around 150 km seems quite modest, even for a vehicle at such a price range.

18:28U.S. & North America

18:32Finally, the United States, a country that's probably the slowest EV adopter in the developed part of the world, and also a country with citizens that have never been fans of small cars.

18:42In such circumstances, you don't expect much, but there are actually a few pretty interesting small and affordable EVs in this part of the world.

18:50So let's check them.

18:51CLUB CAR CRU, 30,000 Dollars

18:56In the U.S., finding too many cheap small EVs wasn't easy.

18:59But the Club Car CRU is here to save the day, even though it looks like a golf vehicle.

19:04Obviously, that's because it comes from one of the largest golf car makers in the country, but we are talking about a street-legal car.

19:10Registered as a low-speed vehicle with a top speed of 25 mph.

19:15Of course, the most prominent aspect of its styling is it looks more like a picnic vehicle than a genuine car.

19:21Still, it does come with the quintessential safety features like seat belts, rear-view camera, etc.

19:27As for the price, it goes slightly under 30,000 dollars.

19:30GEM E2, 15,000 Dollars

19:35GEM has several all-electric cars on offer, and the E2 stands out as the smallest and the most affordable one.

19:41It comes with just two seats and with just 103 inches in length.

19:45It's a genuine super maneuverable machine for urban areas.

19:49The max range is quite impressive and goes up to 113 miles, while the top speed is 25 mph.

19:56As for the price, it starts slightly over 15,000 dollars, and if you think that's cheap, wait until you see the next one.

20:08Small, all-electric two-seaters are rare birds in North America, but we managed to find one.

20:13It's called ELI0, and it's one of the cheapest EVs in this part of the world.

20:17With a starting price of around 12,000 dollars.

20:20For that sum, you get an attractive four-wheeler that comes with an 8-kilowatt battery pack that provides up to 60 miles of max range, while the top speed is 25 mph.

20:30With this one, a low price doesn't mean a lack of convenience, because the list of standard equipment includes goodies like power steering, keyless entry and start, air conditioning, and many more.

20:40AeroVanish, 33,000 Dollars

20:45You know how much American drivers like trucks.

20:48Well, the AeroVanish comes as a great all-electric alternative, which doesn't necessarily weigh 6,000 pounds like the F-150 Lightning does, but still is capable of doing a lot.

20:59This small truck looks interesting and has a decently sized cargo bed, with a lot of loading potential.

21:05At the same time, it is relatively cheap, around 33,000 dollars, while the max range of 55 miles and a top speed of 35 mph make it perfect for urban areas.
