00:00folks. My name is Andy Beshear, and I'm the proud Democratic governor of the Commonwealth
00:15of Kentucky. This is not my first speech on the back of a pickup truck. If you don't
00:25know me, I'm the guy that last November beat Mitch McConnell's hand-picked candidate.
00:33I'm the guy that last November beat Donald Trump's hand-picked candidate.
00:38And together we're going to help Kamala Harris beat Donald Trump this November.
00:47Let me tell you just a bit about myself.
00:49I'm a proud pro-union governor.
00:54I am a proud pro-choice governor.
00:58I am a proud pro-public education governor.
01:03I am a proud pro-diversity governor.
01:06And I'm a proud Harris for President governor.
01:14You know, people ask me, and I'm sure they ask you too, how do you do it?
01:19How do you win?
01:21We win by staying true to our values of compassion, of empathy, of doing right by our neighbors.
01:28We won by bringing everyone together, Democrats, Republicans, independents from all over Kentucky.
01:35We win by caring and fighting for every single vote in every single county, every single
01:41one of you matters.
01:42Are you willing to do the work to turn out that vote?
01:49Because counties in areas like this that I know delivered four years ago, and I know
01:54you're going to deliver for soon-to-be President Harris three months from now.
02:02I know what hard work in tough counties can mean.
02:06I mean, there's a county that J.D. Vance claims he's from in Kentucky.
02:13And I won it by 22 points last November.
02:19We are going to do the same this year, leading up to this November, and then we're going
02:25to move this country past all the anger, all the hate, because it is time to stop anger
02:30politics right here and right now for good.
02:38That's why I am so excited to support the vice president.
02:42She is tough, and she is smart, and that's going to make her a good president.
02:46But she is kind, and she has empathy, and that's going to make her an absolutely great
02:51president.
02:57And it's exactly why Donald Trump's attacks aren't going to work.
03:01I mean, two nights ago, he called her a bum.
03:06If he wants to see a bum, he ought to look in the mirror.
03:11And what he'll see, looking back, are multiple bankruptcies and 34 felony convictions.
03:17Then again, when J.D. Vance looks in the mirror, he doesn't see any conviction at all.
03:26I mean, I know I'm a little tough on the guy, but when he responded to the very first time
03:32that I said he ain't from where I'm from, here's what he said.
03:37How dare you attack, and he used these words, my origin story.
03:44Origin story?
03:45I mean, Batman has an origin story.
03:48Fictional characters have origin stories.
03:50We all have childhoods and upbringings.
03:53It shows you how contrived it is.
03:56People are going to see it, and we're going to elect the real candidate, Kamala Harris,
04:00this November.
04:06Folks, let me be clear.
04:07J.D. Vance ain't from Kentucky, he ain't from Appalachia, and he ain't going to be the vice
04:12president of the United States of America.
04:17I have not seen this much excitement in so long.
04:21Look around you.
04:22Aren't you pumped up for this election?
04:28The energy that Vice President Harris has brought is unparalleled, folks.
04:33She has not won this nomination through a coronation.
04:37She's won this nomination through acclamation.
04:44And now she needs us because so much is on the line.
04:48Women's rights are on the line.
04:51Donald Trump stripped a constitutional right from over half of our population, so I say
04:58we strip away the opportunity for him to ever serve a second term.
05:03The Senate and the House are on the line.
05:08The great candidates that have the courage to put their name on the ballot in Georgia
05:13are on the line.
05:14Are we going to elect every single one of them?
05:21I know how to win tough elections, and so do you.
05:26When Georgia came in four years ago, we knew that President Biden and Vice President Harris
05:32had won.
05:33And so between now and election day, we need you to do what you do best, the hard work.
05:39We need you to get out there because every vote in every county matters.
05:43There aren't red counties and blue counties.
05:46They're just counties with hardworking families that are going to be open to hear you talk
05:51to them.
05:52It's the work on the ground that won me the election in 2019.
05:56Folks, I won by 0.1 percent.
06:01Every doorknock mattered.
06:03Every phone call mattered.
06:05Every difficult conversation that people had with their uncle at Thanksgiving mattered.
06:11Everyone here today that signs up to volunteer, you matter, and you might be the difference
06:15in winning this race for Vice President Harris.
06:19So let me ask you, are you ready to do the work?
06:22Are you ready to knock the doors?
06:25Are you ready to make the phone calls?
06:27Are you ready to vote?
06:29Are you ready to beat Donald Trump?
06:32Are you ready to beat J.D. Banz?
06:35Are you ready to elect Kamala Harris President of the United States of America?
06:40God bless.
06:41Thank you all.
06:42Let's win this race.
