00:00:00The long wait is over. If you have spent the last two and a half months counting the days
00:00:19until Milan return, this is the moment you have been anticipating. Welcome to the Big
00:00:27Apple for a highly prestigious meeting with the four-in-a-row English champions, Manchester
00:00:34City. That's right, the citizens are the opponents for the Rossoneri in this exciting fixture.
00:00:44They are also the 2023 Champions League winners. But let's be honest, our eyes tonight are
00:00:52on the new look Rossoneri as they take shape under manager Paolo Fonseca. The world famous
00:01:01setting for this game is the Yankee Stadium in the Bronx area of New York. And it is really
00:01:11one to get the excitement flowing. For their part, City lost their most recent friendly
00:01:20to Celtic here in America, but in North Carolina. Whereas Milan drew 1-1 away to Rapid Vienna.

00:01:48line-ups very, very soon. But it's a fairly strong line-up by Mr Fonseca. Obviously, some
00:01:56of the players involved with Euro 2024 and the Copa America are not involved, or rather
00:02:05not starting. But particularly from the Milan point of view, there is real quality. This
00:02:14is our Manchester City line-up. And the names you immediately recognise, the eyes are drawn
00:02:21to the number nine. Haaland, obviously, number 10. Jack Grealish, number 52. Oscar Bob, 82.
00:02:29Rico Lewis have had many involvements in the first team. And naturally, the goalkeeper,
00:02:35Ederson, is a highly respected keeper across the world. There will be some kind of announcement
00:02:49before the match starts. Today's referee is Sergi Boyko. And being a friendly, he will
00:02:58be hoping that it's a fairly or very simple game to officiate. And here is our Milan line-up

00:03:16defence, the full-backs are Terraciano and Davide Calabria, the captain. Midfielder two

00:03:38you can see, it's a decent first-team players featured in this starting XI. So it's a good
00:03:47team selected, a strong team selected by Mr. Fonseca. And it's a good chance for us
00:03:54to have a look at his philosophy, you could say, his methodology, and how he is imposing
00:04:06his football beliefs on the Rossoneri in these very early days of his reign. There he is,
00:04:12the man himself, shading his eyes from the bright New York sun. But highly experienced
00:04:22and highly thought of. And although it's only a friendly, it's still a test, it's a big,
00:04:31big test against the impressive side from Manchester. And just that man alone, the towering
00:04:43number nine for City will be a challenge for Gabbia and Ficaio Tomori. But we know it's
00:04:52a challenge that they are up to. We're underway, it's Manchester City who get us going in their
00:04:58famous sky blue shirts, their home kit, Milan in their world-famous red and black stripes.
