00:03Allah the Almighty had given Suleiman the power to make decisions.
00:08Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 87.
00:12Remember Dawood and Suleiman when they were making the decision about the farm.
00:17Some people's goats were killed and we were present in their decision.
00:26Two people were neighbours and they had a fight.
00:29One of them had a farm and he had planted some crops.
00:33The other had some goats.
00:35The goats' shepherd used to close the door at night so that the goats don't harm the crops.
00:42One day he forgot to close the door.
00:44The goats came to the farm and started grazing. The crops got spoiled.
00:47Both of them came to Dawood and presented their case.
00:52Dawood was a judge and Suleiman had gone somewhere.
00:56Dawood heard the case and said,
00:59This is the result of the laziness of the goats.
01:02The solution is that they take your goats and leave.
01:06Then Suleiman met him.
01:08He listened to the details and said, come with me.
01:12He brought him to Dawood and said,
01:14The better solution to this case is to give the goats to the landowner and the land to the goats.
01:20When the landowner gives the land to the goats, you can return the land to them.
01:27During this time, the owner of the farm will benefit from the milk of the goats.
01:31This is a better solution.
01:33This way, the landowner will not be deprived of his goats.
01:37And the farmer's loss is complete.
01:39Allah Almighty explained this solution to you.
01:41Allah Almighty says in Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 89,
01:45We explained the correct solution to Suleiman.
01:49Yes, we blessed everyone with knowledge and wisdom.
01:52There is a Hadith in Bukhari and Muslim.
01:55An incident of this kind has been narrated.
01:57Two women brought their case to Dawood.
02:01Allah had given each of them a child.
02:04A wolf attacked and tore the child of an elderly woman.
02:08The woman was clever.
02:09She snatched the child of a young woman and said,
02:11This is my child.
02:13Dawood saw that the child was with an elderly woman.
02:15So he decided in his favor.
02:17Suleiman said to Dawood,
02:21Can I decide this case?
02:23He gave permission.
02:25Suleiman said to the woman, Give me the child.
02:27He took the child in his hand and took out a sword.
02:30He said to both the women,
02:32I will cut it into two pieces and divide it equally between you two.
02:36Hearing this, the elderly woman said, Okay.
02:38While the young woman screamed because of her mother.
02:42You let him live and give him.
02:44Hearing this, Suleiman said,
02:46You are his mother.
02:48So he could not bear to see the pieces of his child.
02:52Then the child was given to him.
02:54There is a third incident of Suleiman in the Quran.
02:56It is in Surah An-Naml, Ayat 17 and Ayat 18.
03:00And in front of Suleiman,
03:02All his armies of Jinn,
03:04Humans and birds were gathered.
03:06All kinds of different things were set up.
03:10When they reached the field of ants,
03:13The ant said,
03:15O ants, enter your homes.
03:17So that Suleiman and his army do not disturb you in the wilderness.
03:21All these armies were gathered.
03:23Allah Almighty made Suleiman hear this.
03:27It is in Surah An-Naml, Ayat 19.
03:29Upon hearing this, Suleiman smiled and laughed.
03:31And started praying,
03:33O Lord, give me the ability
03:35To thank you for these favors
03:37Which you have bestowed upon me.
03:39And I keep doing such good deeds
03:41May you always be happy
03:43And include me among your pious servants.
