00:00Obviously it was a, you know, a strong season personally last year, but for me it's more about the team goals this year.
00:07There's bigger things that we want to accomplish, you know, we want to win trophies.
00:10These are the goals that we have set in our minds.
00:13And I'm just excited to, yeah, like you said, I've obviously become a part of this team.
00:19And this year I hope to show even more, show my confidence, show, you know, why I should be a big part in this team.
00:28And I'm really excited to hopefully go and win bigger things as a team.
00:33When you talk to these players, you need to make sure that they enter in a comfort zone.
00:41Because as soon as they come in a comfort zone, it's easier to perform.
00:45So same thing with Christian, I think he's happy.
00:49You see when a player is happy outside the field, because if you're happy outside, you will be happy also inside.
00:55So it's easier to perform. And then obviously if you have the confidence from the coach, it makes it even more easier.
01:01And then when you play in big clubs like Milan, there is concurrence, which is only positive, because that brings out the best out of you.
01:09That means you need to give 100 to 200% every day.
01:13Whereas the coach has not one choice, he has probably two or three choices.
01:18And for Morata, I say the perfect place to come is Milan.
01:24Because the number nine spot, let's say as a position, not number because he's number seven.
01:30The number nine spot position is the best place that we have available today.
01:36And that was, let's say, with Jovic, the place that we needed.
01:43And the surrounding he will have around him, like Christian, Rafa, Leao, Okafur, you have Chiquese, Loftus behind you.
01:51He understood what he will have.
01:55Then obviously, I don't want to talk personal things, we just want to make him happy.
02:02And if we make him happy, we're pretty confident that he will do good.
02:06I think Milan is preparing well for the future.
02:10Italy needs to prepare well for the future with producing new players.
02:19And I think Milan gave a big step to help in this way.
02:27We, like Zlatan already explained, we are almost the same team.
02:37They work like us, they work at the same time.
02:40We have so many young players with us now.
02:45And I will be all the time with a big attention to the young players.
02:52For me, the players don't have age.
02:56If they have quality, if they are courageous, they can play.
03:01And the intention is, of course, to work with them, to make them grow and to be ready to play in the main team.
03:12When you come in a pre-season, it's heavy load.
03:15Because the guys, they train two times a day, some days one time a day.
03:20But it's a heavy training they do.
03:24Because what you put now, it stays for the rest of the season.
03:28And obviously when you play these tough games, big games, it's a good challenge for the players.
03:34It gives you good motivation to give even more.
03:37And I think for the fans it becomes even more special.
03:41Because they see the two big teams, two big clubs play against each other.
03:45Especially over here in the US.
03:49Because normally this would be a Champions League game.
03:52Instead now it's a friendly on a neutral field.
03:56So obviously it gives you motivation to play against the big clubs individually and also collectively.
04:03And I just see it positive.
04:05Because the player, when you're in a pre-season, like I said, you train very hard.
04:09You need to get something back.
04:11And I think those games give you back even if you're under heavy load.
04:17But I think the main thing who will be more satisfied is the fans.
04:22Because I don't think these games give you answers.
04:25And I believe the coach just wants to do his thing and prepare in a short time.
04:31Because players come later or before like this.
04:36And he showed up today.
04:38So it's more important for the coach to put his identity in the team in a short time.
04:44Because that's the main key.
04:46And then whoever you play against, you just keep to your philosophy.
04:51And you keep repeating the phase.
04:54Obviously I work from a different angle now.
04:59But at the same time I try to be myself.
05:01Or else I'm not pushing for what I believe in and what my ambition is.
05:08And what I stand for.
05:10But obviously I'm entering in a different zone where I have a lot to learn.
05:16And at the same time a lot to give.
05:18But I have good, amazing colleagues around me.
05:21That makes it easier.
05:23And we speak basically the same language.
05:27We believe in the same things.
05:30We follow the strategy we have.
05:34And we are young.
05:35Which I find good, positive.
05:38Because we are hungry.
05:40We have a big will to make things good.
05:44But in a different way.
05:46And obviously with the American owner behind us.
05:49We want to make the mix with the Italian traditional way.
05:55But like I said, the future is bright.
05:57And I'm very ambitious and positive about what we are doing.
06:01Because a lot of things are happening in the club.
06:05With new coach, new players.
06:07We have the Milan Futuro.
06:09So a lot of things happening in a positive way.
06:12But from my angle, obviously you have to judge in a different way.
06:18Because now I'm not part of the team in the field.
06:22More outside.
06:23But I try to be the 12th guy.
06:26No, the defense is the 12th guy.
06:28And I will probably be the 13th.
06:30Number 13.
06:31So I try to push from a different angle to strive for the same thing.
06:35And that's the objectives we put up.
06:38And obviously if you work for a club like Milan.
06:40The objectives are very high and the pressure is very high.
06:44That's why we are a great club.
06:46And we want to continue and not just being it today.
06:50Instead being it today, tomorrow and after tomorrow.
