00:11Since launch, we've improved Heldiris quite significantly

00:15together with you, the community.

00:17We've released a lot of content, such as the flyers,

00:20the TCS missions,

00:23the destruction of an entire planet.

00:26This time around, we've got something special prepared for you.

00:29It's our first step out of many,

00:32where we're going to expand the game in big, meaningful ways.

00:35New game modes, new objectives, new enemies,

00:40and even a whole new difficulty.

00:42To give you that, we have to escalate it.

00:45An escalation of freedom.

00:53When freedom escalates, its opponents escalate.

00:56We're bringing back a fan favorite from Heldiris 1,

00:59the stabby, tentacled beast known as the Impaler.

01:07When you're playing against the Terminids,

01:09you can always try and run away.

01:10The Impaler ruins that plan.

01:13They will maybe cut off your escape route,

01:15and then you will probably have to stay and fight.

01:17Or you can fight the tentacles.

01:20The Spore Charger.

01:22This one has fog traveling around it.

01:26It's constantly moving, so it's going to come right out of the fog

01:29and scare the lights out of you.

01:32The Automatons are bringing in artillery.

01:35A big tank that shoots rockets.

01:38If you're further away, you can see it aim towards the skies

01:41and fire rockets in the air,

01:42so you'll have a barrage coming down on you.

01:45In addition, you'll face off against the Impaler.

01:48In addition, you'll face off against heavier, more deadly brood commanders.

01:53With a small twist.

01:54The allies that it spawns will not be the ones that you're used to.

01:59Difficulty 10 has more enemies than we've had before on lower difficulties.

02:05We've really ramped it up.

02:06It's meant to feel like a real progression from 9 to 10.

02:10We're also introducing a larger type of outpost,

02:14and it's going to be a real challenge to take on these massive fortresses.

02:18But if you manage to do so, there will be great rewards waiting for you.

02:25Of course, what would the galaxy be without planets?

02:30Therefore, we wanted to spook it up with a new version of the Swamp environment.

02:40The Acid Storm weather effect now comes with a new mechanic.

02:44It reduces the armor of enemies and Helldivers alike.

02:47You'll do a lot more damage, but you'll also take more in return,

02:50which is just as horrifying as it sounds.

02:55In Escalation of Freedom, we have new objectives coming in,

02:59like the Retrieve Larva mission,

03:02where you find this backpack with a little crying larva

03:07that you need to reach the extraction with.

03:12But you also have to be careful because it's going to be crying a lot,

03:16and you're getting swarmed by more and more Terminids.

03:28With the Second Galactic War in full swing,

03:30Super Earth is currently battling the Automatons and the Bugs for control of the Milky Way.

03:35The Automaton Legion are constantly building bigger and worse war machines.

03:40The Terminids' migration patterns seem to be changing.

03:44There's also been some irregular readings of the Terminids' spores

03:47in the various sectors where the Terminids are spreading.

03:51And we will see where the story develops from here.
