00:00-"What about Tyra?"
00:05-"Snap out of it!"
00:06Welcome to Ms. Mojo,
00:08and today we're counting down our picks for the craziest and most uncomfortable times
00:12RuPaul let the queens have it on RuPaul's Drag Race.
00:15-"Well, if you're gonna tell the truth and it's gonna create tension in the room,
00:18then that is creating a fight."
00:21Number 10.
00:21Mimi I'm First lifts India Farrah
00:24Things were already tense on the set during the Season 3 episode.
00:27A lip-sync to Thelma Huston's Don't Leave Me This Way suddenly turned ugly.
00:31["Don't Leave Me This Way"]
00:38Bottom two queen Mimi I'm First decided to throw her opponent, India Farrah,
00:42over her shoulder and carry her onto the stage.
00:45The episode practically came to a screeching halt.
00:53-"What the hell is she thinking? You can't be lifting up drag queens."
00:57If the slow motion wasn't enough to indicate just how crazy it was,
01:01Ru's firm lecture afterward was a rare serious moment from the fun-loving host.
01:05However, it also gave us one of the show's most iconic quotes.
01:09-"Drag is not a contact sport."
01:12Number 9.
01:13Willem's disqualification
01:15This Season 4 queen had a habit of dropping names and bombs at an alarming rate.
01:20Willem didn't take Drag Race seriously as a competition,
01:22but she always gave us good television.
01:25-"I'm a successful drag queen and not some bitch who has to show for a dollar."
01:30But when she was thrown off for breaking the rules,
01:33it was a marked departure for Ru and the show.
01:35-"It has come to my attention that you have broken the rules."
01:40It was all the more shocking because Willem had won the challenge.
01:43Ru had even gone through the trouble of making the bottom two queens lip-sync
01:47before calling her forward and announcing that she had broken the rules.
01:50-"Your actions have consequences, and I'm afraid you leave me no choice."
01:56The fact that we weren't given a proper explanation made it all the more mysterious.
02:00The circumstances surrounding her disqualification would linger for ages.
02:05-"Regret's kind of like a fool's game.
02:06Can't change anything that I did, and there's no use spending any time dwelling on it."
02:10Number 8.
02:11Laganja Estranja breaks down on stage
02:13Even in confrontation, RuPaul can stay pretty composed.
02:17It isn't until a queen really gets under her skin that that peaceful facade starts to disappear.
02:22-"We all do that Kiki voice.
02:24It's a funny voice, but you can't do that all the time."
02:26Most of Season 6's Laganja Estranja storyline revolved around her not being her authentic self.
02:32That came to a head in her elimination episode when the judges confronted her.
02:36Laganja, still unable to hear the critique, insisted that at home, everyone loved her.
02:41-"And I get so built up."
02:42-"That's the nightclub, girl.
02:44You came to this competition to go to the next level.
02:46What we're telling you is what it takes."
02:48But Ru saw it was time for a reality check.
02:51Her frustration was apparent as she explained why Laganja needed to hear their advice,
02:55no matter how much it hurt.
02:57-"But you have got to learn how to own your stardom."
03:00Number 7.
03:01Kahana Montrese almost quits
03:03Strategy shenanigans and off-screen backstabbing compelled all-star Heidi N. Closet to leave the competition completely.
03:09-"I've done what I came here to do.
03:11I came here to have fun, show my growth, and have a Kiki, honey."
03:14It created a snowball effect that threatened to stop the season in its tracks.
03:19Two episodes after Heidi made her exit, Ru made an unexpected and unplanned appearance in the workroom.
03:24Tears and arguments over casting roles in the Maxi Challenge almost led to Kahana Montrese leaving, too.
03:30-"I'm done."
03:32-"Like, you're..."
03:33-"Yes, I want to go home."
03:35So RuPaul gave them a pep talk, but the whole time, there was an undercurrent of
03:39get-it-together-because-we-don't-have-time-for-this.
03:41-"Don't let your feelings sabotage your experience in this life."
03:46Frankly, the fact that so many queens seemed unable to get their head in the game was frustrating for viewers, too.
03:51-"So, Kahana, you feel like you're ready to pack your shit and go?"
03:54-"No, I'm... No, I'm here for you."
03:56-"What, and..." -"I'm here for me."
03:58-"You're here for you, that's right. That's right. That's the right answer."
04:02Number 6.
04:03Valentina's Mask
04:05It's no secret that this season 9 queen was a fan favorite as well as a hit with the judges.
04:10-"Nothing can explain what I'm feeling as I'm waiting to have to lip-sync for my life. I'm scared."
04:16She had the potential to win the whole competition,
04:18but when she unexpectedly landed in the bottom with challenge partner Nina Bonina-Brown,
04:23she spent the first part of a lip-sync to Ariana Grande's Greedy with a bejeweled mask over her mouth.
04:28-"You know I'm coming tonight. Don't want to deny it anymore."
04:34For the first time in the show's herstory,
04:36Rue had to stop the entire performance to force her into taking it off.
04:41Valentina's initial refusal clearly had the host a little irritated.
04:45-"Take that thing off of your mouth."
04:47-"I'd like to keep it on, please."
04:53-"It's a lip-sync. What part of that do you not understand?"
04:56Number 5.
04:57Tammy Brown at the Reunion
04:59In season 1, the show was still finding its footing.
05:02Drag Race was a lot less polished and so was its host.
05:05-"It is my pleasure to have you all here at RuPaul's Drag Race."
05:09Tammy Brown's goofball behavior made them a favorite among many.
05:13But it also meant that she didn't take the competition as deftly serious as she was expected to.
05:18When it came time for the queens to address the judges at the reunion,
05:21Tammy brought up their issues with their negative critiques.
05:24-"That's why you're here." -"We don't need to fear so much negativity."
05:26-"Because you forgot it." -"Forgot what?"
05:27Rue tried to deliver some harsh truths, but Tammy wasn't having it.
05:31-"It's not my responsibility to make you feel good all the time."
05:34-"Yes, you both call me losers. And I don't see you out there walking children in nature."
05:38The queen's iconic clapbacks are still quoted to this day.
05:41She's still probably one of the few queens to get the better of RuPaul.
05:45-"Use your mouth."
05:46Number 4.
05:47Rue vs. Pearl
05:48This season's seven finalists spent the season getting harangued for her low-key personality.
05:53-"You have a very big personality. Pearl, you do not have a very big personality."
05:57Pearl remained shockingly steadfast in not giving too much of herself to the show.
06:01And it was clear it was getting on the hosts' nerves.
06:04This nearly spilled over into the workroom walkthrough when RuPaul engaged the contestant in a stare-down.
06:09-"How are you gonna overcome that for this award?"
06:13-"Um, I think that I have a great personality, actually."
06:17We've seen yelling and screaming, but never have we seen Rue holding back rage like this.
06:22Pearl stared right back before adding the perfect passive-aggressive punctuation mark.
06:27-"Do I have something on my face?"
06:28Let's just say it took a lot of courage.
06:30As for the rest of us, we were all max in that moment.
06:34-"I feel very uncomfortable right now."
06:38Number 3.
06:39Joe Black's H&M dress
06:41Michelle Visage took issue with Drag Race UK Season 2's Joe Black.
06:45The Queen's runway looked off the rack.
06:47Well, as a matter of fact, it was an H&M ensemble.
06:50-"H&M!"
06:52As soon as Joe Black admitted this, you could see the rage in RuPaul's face.
06:57Her eyelid might have even twitched.
06:59She launched into an instantly iconic and delightfully unhinged rant.
07:03-"That outfit off the rack was a huge disappointment to me."
07:08Although her larger point was about how drag queens need to put more effort into their looks
07:12than throwing on a look you could buy at any department store,
07:15the H&M hatred is what stuck.
07:17-"Don't waste my time. I don't want to see any f***ing H&M."
07:21One thing is for sure,
07:23Drag Race can kiss that potential H&M sponsorship goodbye.
07:26-"What say you, Joe Black?"
07:28Number 2.
07:29Make It Work.
07:30The times where Ru loses her cool are few and far between.
07:33-"You know, FYI for all you girls up there, I don't want to hear any goddamn excuses."
07:38Here, though, she was practically shaking with rage.
07:42An ill-conceived acting challenge from the show's seventh season
07:45led to one of RuPaul's angriest tirades to date.
07:47The queens were tasked with starring in dragged-out Shakespeare parodies.
07:51Well, one group's play was a disaster from start to finish.
07:55They didn't rehearse enough, almost no one knew their lines enough,
07:58and their lack of preparation showed.
08:00-"We didn't have time to re-rehearse."
08:02-"Make it work! Make it work!"
08:04Ru was not happy.
08:06She was tired of the excuses,
08:08and was not interested in a group of queens who were not going to give this competition their all.
08:12-"I don't want to hear any goddamn excuses. Anymore!"

08:34Few contestants railed against the drag race apparatus like The Vixen.
08:38-"I'm just here to fight!"
08:39-"Oh!"
08:41She came in announcing she was ready to fight,
08:43and she lived up to that entrance line.
08:45Taking issue with how black queens on the show were portrayed and treated,
08:49The Vixen revisited her season-long issues with Eureka O'Hara at the Season 10 reunion.
08:53-"So you, you poked at me until you got me upset enough to make you look like the victim."
09:00-"No, my decision was never to attack you." -"No, that's what happened."
09:02RuPaul's insistence that The Vixen should have reacted to Eureka's goading better didn't sit well with her.
09:08-"Yeah, but that's like saying, you know, eat the cake, Anna Mae."
09:10-"Oh, so it's, so it is my fault?"
09:12The Vixen ultimately walked off, not wanting to subject herself to another minute of it.
09:17Her exit left Ru and a visibly emotional Asia O'Hara to argue.
09:21-"Do you think there's anything we could have said to The Vixen to make her stay?"
09:25-"It's not about what we say, it's about what we do."
09:27Which of these confrontations shocked you the most?
09:30Tell us in the comments.
09:31-"Now, Scarlett, before you leave, there's something we need to talk about."
