Many believers and unbelievers today do not want to “deal” with a world we cannot see when the world we do see is hard enough to “deal” with. Before we can discuss the spiritual battle, we have to believe in the spiritual realm. We have a tendency to act like a two-year-old child who closes her eyes and places a blanket over her head, really believing that no one can see her because she cannot see them. 00:00Understanding the battle behind the spiritual warfare. To understand the battle of spiritual

00:05warfare, we need to begin with acknowledging that we are in a war. Battles make up smaller

00:10components of the bigger picture. By definition, battles involve combat between two persons,

00:16between factions, between armies and they consist of any type of extended contest,

00:23struggle, or controversy. We are in a spiritual battle of some sort on a daily basis.

00:29In warfare, battles are fought on different fronts, for different reasons, and with varying

00:34degrees of intensity. The same is true in spiritual warfare. Our spiritual battles in

00:40warfare are real, even though we cannot physically see the attacker, but we can educate ourselves

00:47on how the battles are fought and how they impact our lives on a daily basis.

00:52How do we know that there is a spiritual realm? If we cannot see it, should we believe in it?

00:58Many believers and unbelievers today do not want to deal with a world we cannot see when the world

01:03we do see is hard enough to deal with. Before we can discuss the spiritual battle, we have to

01:09believe in the spiritual realm. We have a tendency to act like a two-year-old child who closes her

01:15eyes and places a blanket over her head, really believing that no one can see her because she

01:21cannot see them. Just because we cannot see the spiritual realm does not mean it is not there.

01:27Keith Green, a Christian songwriter, wrote,

01:30I used to have to sneak around, but now they just open their doors. No one's looking for my tricks

01:37because no one believes in me anymore. However, if we choose to ignore or not believe in the

01:43spiritual realm, we will find ourselves confused, frustrated, and quenching the peace that God has

01:49promised to each of us. The best defense is a strong offense. Just educating ourselves about

01:55the spiritual realm is half the fight, and God gives us everything else we need to be victorious

02:01with the other half. Spiritual warfare is a concept that involves us fighting against preternatural

02:06evil forces. These forces are based on the biblical belief in nevil spirits or demons that

02:12intervene in human affairs in various ways. The struggle against these forces is a persistent

02:18challenge in the life of every people. The devil, also known as Satan, is considered the adversary

02:24of God, and spiritual warfare has its roots in the rebellion of Satan and his angels against God

02:31when we pursue God. Engaging in spiritual warfare involves several practices and principles.

02:38Here are some ways to participate in this battle. 1. Prayer. Regularly pray for protection, guidance,

02:46and strength. Seek God's wisdom and discernment to recognize spiritual attacks.

02:522. Scripture. Study the Bible to understand God's promises, His character, and the authority

02:58given to believers. Use relevant verses to combat negative thoughts and temptations.

03:043. Armor of God, Ephesians 6. 1018 describes the spiritual armor truth. Righteousness,

03:12peace, faith, salvation, and the word of God put on this armor daily.

03:184. Renew your mind. Romans 12-2 encourages us to renew our minds,

03:24replace negative thoughts with God's truth and focus on His goodness.

03:295. Resist the enemy. James 4-7 says, Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil,

03:37and he will flee from you. Stand firm against evil influences.

03:416. Fasting. Fasting helps strengthen your spirit and draws you closer to God.

03:48It can be a powerful weapon in spiritual warfare. 7. Community. Connect with other believers,

03:55pray together, encourage one another, and hold each other accountable. Remember that spiritual

04:01warfare is not about physical combat but about aligning your heart, mind, and actions with God's

04:08truth. Distinguishing between spiritual attacks and everyday challenges can be tricky,

04:13but here are some pointers. 1. Source. Consider the origin. Everyday

04:20challenges often arise from natural circumstances, while spiritual attacks come from malevolent

04:26forces. 2. Intensity. Spiritual attacks may feel more intense, overwhelming, or persistent. They

04:34can affect your emotions, thoughts, and physical well-being. 3. Patterns. Look for patterns. If

04:41negative events consistently follow moments of spiritual growth or prayer, it might be an attack.

04:484. Discernment. Pray for discernment. Ask God to reveal the source behind your struggles.

04:555. Peace. God's peace transcends challenges. If you feel an unusual peace despite difficulties,

05:02it might not be a spiritual attack. 6. Remember. Seeking guidance from trusted

05:08spiritual mentors or pastors can provide valuable insights. We will now review and discuss what the

05:15Bible says regarding these areas, who is the God of this age, the seven king spirits, 13 prince

05:22spirits, the rulers of darkness, the principalities, the powers, and wicked spirits. We will learn how

05:29to apply the scriptures to our personal lives to bring victory over these battles. It begins with
