00:31According to the House Committee on Metro Manila Development Chair Rolando Valeriano,

00:41why our flood control systems were not able to contain the rain in the region.

00:47The committee also expects that other agencies that are involved in providing assistance to our countrymen,

00:56such as the DSWD, to discuss their long-term plan for the disaster.

01:41the Department of Budget and Management turned over to the camera

01:46the 2025 National Expenditure Program,

01:49which will be the basis for the Congress to form a national fund for the next year.

01:56Romualdez said that one of their priorities in the 2025 National Budget

02:01is the disaster response fund.

02:04We are ready.

02:05We can anticipate it because it's a semi-process.

02:08There's a budget call that will take several months.

02:11So, we are ready.

02:13We will sign it, read it, and review it.

02:17If possible, we will refine, amend, and prepare the budget submitted by the DBM and the Executive in the Congress.

02:26You can also expect that before our first session in September,

02:34we will finish the budget.
