00:08The Education Secretary, Sonny Angara,

00:11said that some schools in the country need to postpone the opening of classes

00:16in order to give way to cleaning and cleaning.

00:20The opening of classes on Mondays is still limited to schools that have small classrooms.

00:26According to the Department of Education, 60 schools in 60 regions of the country,

00:30including Metro Manila, Cordillera Agnostic Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley,

00:36Central Luzon, Mimaropa, Western and Eastern Visayas, are affected.

00:41324 schools are being used as evacuation centers in 6 regions.

00:48Meanwhile, Secretary Angara passed the DepEd Memorandum No. 4, Series of 2024,

00:54to ensure that teachers and non-teaching personnel are accessed.

01:00DepEd personnel can avail of P100,000 multi-purpose loan

01:06and P200,000 extreme emergency loan through their Provident Fund.
