03:02rings to the jeweler in case it was for toes or pinky fingers and not ring fingers.
03:07The jeweler advised size 6, which wasn't the case."
03:12Deschanel said the ring was actually size 5 1⁄2 the first time, before being refitted
03:16to size 5.
03:17Her true ring size is 4 3⁄4, and at the time of the interview, the ring still needed
03:23more work.
03:24The ring drama doesn't end there.
03:26Scott also almost lost Deschanel's engagement ring in another country.
03:31One of Jonathan Scott's talents is stage magic, and his past career as an illusionist led
03:37to him becoming a member of the Magic Castle in L.A.
03:41In their October 2023 People interview, Scott and Zooey Deschanel explained the circumstances
03:45of their first I Love You, which happened to be at the Magic Castle.
03:49Scott explained,
03:50"'We were sitting at a magic show, and that's when I turned over and told her that I love
03:56her.'"
03:57Deschanel confirmed that she did reply I Love You back to him, but not without also making
04:01a Star Wars joke and claiming she actually said, "'I know.'"
