00:00Previously on The Ultimate Fighter, Featherweight's Rudy Roots, Khan Offley,
00:06Mairon Santos, and Shiggy Montez Ramoska all claimed their spots in the
00:15semifinals, while Robert Valentine,
00:21and Ryan Loader emerged victorious in the middleweight division.
00:33Now, Ireland takes on South Africa. A skilled middleweight, Paddy McCrory faces
00:41off against Mark Hume. Which warrior will advance and claim the last
00:50spot in the semifinal?
01:20Oh, what an assumption goal! What's the plan for Mike's omission?
01:50Oh, flying knee. The switch, southpaw orthodox, southpaw orthodox.
02:08You need distance, look. You're right, pressure. Flying knee is gonna dry, knees.
02:16I would say, like, easy takedowns have very basic defense. His distance is good,
02:22but in the same time, if you put him down and hold him and make him tired, he won't
02:29be that good. But he's, like, moving a lot. Especially in the first round, he's
02:35gonna move, use all the space, and trying to, like, be more accurate. Mark, he's
02:41gonna fight Paddy from Ireland. Paddy, he's a pretty good fighter. Sometimes you
02:47think, like, bigger guys, they don't have this feeling of the distance, or they
02:52hit slower, or kind of, like, more predictable. But Paddy, he hits very fast
02:57and quick. I think Mark, he has advantage because he has power, and second, because
03:05he has amazing grappling. And it's very hard to get out when he's holding the
03:11position. You have to learn to protect yourself. You have to see where he starts.
03:15I'm feeling this. Yep, yep, yep.
03:17Introducing first, standing 6'2", tall, his official weight, 183.6 pounds, Mark Hughes!
03:28My fair record is 12 and 3. Powell kind of buckled. My fighting style is predominantly
03:36into jiu-jitsu. Trying to cinch in the choke. Powell in big trouble early. It looks tight.
03:44Powell trying his best to get out of this position. Big shots from the side from Mark
03:49Hughes as Darmanov gets back up to his feet. Mark Hughes making a pay for it. He's going
03:54for the double again. We're going for a ride, and Hughes gets him back down on the canvas.
03:58My striking has really been elevated to a level where I can say I'm proud to be a
04:04complete MMA fighter.
04:12Barry, you can see he's a striker, striking dominant. His wrestling is essentially
04:19non-existent, and his jiu-jitsu is the same. Don't come closer without punching. If you are
04:25here, you already punched. Or you're there and waiting your distance. Or if you do it with a
04:31jump, do it straight. Good. Same thing. My advantages are definitely be more physical
04:38than him. I believe my timing is going to be better than his. And ultimately,
04:44when it comes to wrestling and jiu-jitsu, he doesn't even belong in there with me.
04:52I'll be coming out. I'll be making the first move. I'll be looking to land that first punch,
04:57put him on the back foot, right off the bat, and not just conventional striking. I'm not
05:02going to go out there and try to strike with a striker. I'm going to incorporate my wrestling
05:07into my striking. If I finish him with a submission, it's a good night for me,
05:15whether I fight a type of movement game like he does, or whether I fight a high guard walking
05:21down. I will dictate the pace of the fight. And then you won't disengage or take the bad
05:27position, but better control. Yep, yep, yep, yep. Very good, very good. Amazing.
05:43Valentina's a really tough coach. She pushes her team very hard at training, but she also keeps
05:49them busy when they're not training. She took her fighters on a helicopter tour of the Strip,
05:53which is a cool thing to do for them. Most of these guys have never seen Vegas before.
05:57We were able to see Las Vegas during the night from the land, and now we're going to see Las
06:03Vegas, how it's bright and beautiful from the air. So very excited. Today we are at the
06:12Maverick helicopter location. In my family, I have my sister Antonina. She's a pilot. That's why
06:21aviation for me, general aviation, it's very close to my soul, to my spirit. So I wanted
06:27the guys to experience this feeling and kind of like see Las Vegas through my eyes.
06:33Let's go, boys. Let's get it.
06:47What are the guys doing right now? Living in the house, all 16 fighters all together,
06:53training twice a day. It's very hard for them, but it's very important sometimes to refocus,
06:59because it gives you more energy to continue the journey of what you are doing.
07:06Flying over Las Vegas, seeing all the arenas, possibly where I get to fight in the future,
07:13it's one of the best experiences that I've had in my life. The city is looking beautiful
07:18tonight, boys. Man, it's gorgeous. Spear off to your right. Once again, a good release for the
07:24boys. Valentina pushes us on. Everybody was tired. Everyone's demeanors go up and down,
07:30and she knows just when to pull out something like that to bring us back and to give us strength for
07:37the next day. Godness, you wish you had this seat. The air kind of relaxes you. Even though you're
07:44up in a helicopter, it relaxes your mindset and like, oh, this is, it's real life. You know,
07:50it's not just about fighting. It's about the process. So it was an amazing, amazing night.
07:56Thank you, Valentina. One more time. Thank you, coach. Thank you, guys. Thank you.
08:08Your family, your missus? Yeah, yeah. That's my missus and my dog,
08:11and then that's my grandfather and my younger brother. Yeah. You know,
08:14like after my first amateur bout. Yeah. I got two pictures of myself and my grandfather
08:19and my younger brother, and it is just with my first amateur MMA title that I won,
08:26and I took it down to my grandfather's house for him to see it, and we got a picture with it.
08:31Wow. I love this photo, bro, because my grandmother's in the background,
08:35you know, because she passed away. Oh, no. What's your dog's name?
08:39Bonnie. Bonnie? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. My girlfriend, Lauren, and our dog, Bonnie,
08:45just puts a smile on my face and just reminds me how lucky I am, just having them two back home.
08:51You know, I feel like I'm at the most peaceful I've ever been in my life, just whenever I'm
08:56sitting with them two in my arms, just chilling, doing nothing, you know? How long you been with
09:01her? Like two years, bro. But, bro, see, whenever she's lying on my chest and the dog's there,
09:07I'm just like, wow. It's just happened, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. In between training and stuff,
09:12or after training, just always look forward to just sitting on the sofa with them. It's great, bro. Bliss.
09:21Hello.
09:25Hello. Hello.
09:29This is my little dog, Bonnie, and this is my girlfriend, Lauren. Say hi, you.
09:35And my girlfriend's name is Lauren. We've been together for almost two years now,
09:41and she means a lot to me, you know? She's taught me a lot of things about life and about myself.
09:47Say cheese.
09:53She's really given me a great peace of mind and taught me, like, true values of life, you know?
10:02So this is where I grew up, on the Springfield Road in West Belfast, just right on the Peace Wall.
10:10So this gate here gets closed at night time, and it divides the Catholics and Protestants.
10:16So Protestants live over here, and we live on the other side.
10:21Growing up in Belfast, it's a, like, post-conflict society, you know? I was just born just after the
10:28troubles between anti-British Catholics against the Protestants, so it was a crazy place to grow
10:35up at times, you know? There isn't as much conflict now as there was before I was born,
10:45but there's a lot of generational trauma that has been passed down through the ages.
10:52There's a Peace Wall that divides West Belfast, and it's, like, one half is Catholic,
10:57and one half is Protestant, and in my childhood, you wouldn't really have been,
11:01like, communicating much with Protestants, or one side wouldn't go over the other.
11:06That is Bobby Sands, a prominent figure during the Revolution and one of the leading hunger
11:11strikers. These murals are a stark remainder of our country's history and deep divisions.
11:21I train in Fade Academy, Ireland. It's probably the best gym in Ireland at the
11:32minute. We have, like, 60, 70 active faders, so the mats are always round.
11:42And now my MMA striking coach is Liam Shannon, so I have a very high pedigree of striking coaching.
11:50Paddy McCrory, he's the man, he's the guy that's gonna be the next Ultimate Fighter.
11:54People say, who is that guy? And Paddy is out there. He's your next Ultimate Fighter.
12:00Gonna run from here up to the peak and then back down, so let's go. I'm looking forward
12:05to representing Ireland and also just getting a taste of what these guys have got, you know?
12:09I believe that I'm in the right place for me to fulfil my potential as a mixed martial artist.
12:14What a night for a run. Nothing fresher than the Irish mountains. Getting to mix it up with so
12:20many guys from so many different countries can do nothing but great things for me as a fighter and
12:25for my career. That's the final mountain run done. Soaking up the last bit of that fresh
12:33Irish mountain air. Let's go.
12:47Guys, I just wanted to tell you, like, I know that it might be weird that the other team is
12:53getting out too much, but you didn't guys told me that you want to go out. I did it.
12:58Wait, wait, wait, wait. I heard that the other team was able to get out, just chill,
13:03like a different place. But I'm trying my best for you guys to do therapy, to have sex,
13:09to have sex, because for me, because for me, this is the most, the most important things,
13:14OK? I want you to, your bodies feel good. I'm trying to, I'm trying to, to get elements for
13:20you. Alexa, you're the best one. Apologise. I think it's important that they keep focused
13:25instead of going out, you know, to a restaurant. I don't want them to feel like too out of the zone.
13:31We're here to win, guys, OK? And I know, I know it's boring sometimes. I know it's hard, but,
13:37but, but believe me, this is work. This is work. Restaurants and helicopters are every day,
13:43all day, but, but. No, really, Alexa, we, for, for, for us, we always said it. We like to be in here,
13:49in this room. We have always good energy in the team. We always have fun training. Because I didn't
13:54know the other team was there. For me, when I'm in training camp, I'd rather to do things that are
14:00just around the sport, around everything I'm doing. And I don't know, I think it's important for them
14:06to enjoy these nice things like the sauna and the pool and the rehab and, you know, just keep your
14:14mind there, because it's been working for me for so long.
14:32When I was like 16, 17, just as I was getting into MMA, life hit me hard, you know. I went through
14:39a lot of struggles in my personal life. I was out drinking, partying. When I went through those
14:44struggles, the only thing that was my escape was the gym. I just went to the gym all day,
14:50every day. Tried to stay busy. Became obsessed with my improvement inside the gym and fulfilling my
14:58potential as a mixed martial artist.
15:02And stop, have movement, have movement. Imagine he's,
15:06imagine he's throwing too, okay? Imagine he's throwing too, there.
15:09Paddy was our second pick because we like his striking. Also on the ground, his movements are
15:16really nice. He has nice movement for a big guy. Control, don't let him get up, don't let him get up.
15:28When I asked, hey guys, who would you like to fight? He said, please, I want to fight Mark.
15:36Take your time, choose it wisely and strong.
15:40Why is he not strong?
15:45Ladies and gentlemen, make the world of the cage, Paddy
15:51McCauley!
15:53A little bit shorter. Oh, that's a big body.
15:56Put the coin. Wow, so cute. Oh, look at that. Oh my god, oh my god, he's so well.
16:03A professional MMA record is four wins and one defeat. I only lost, yeah,
16:09it was against the former champion of the promotion.
16:13Another guillotine attempt here.
16:15Who believed that I could have beat at the time, but unfortunately that wasn't the case,
16:18but I did learn a lot of lessons from that fight.
16:23I'm a true 185 pounder and I've fought big, huge guys my whole career.
16:31Serious balance for McCauley.
16:42I believe that I am the best when my back's against the wall and when I am an underdog.
16:47I've been an underdog my whole professional career. People haven't really given me a
16:52chance in most of the fights that I've went into and I'm constantly proving people wrong,
16:55so I'm looking forward to doing it again this time.
17:08I'm not worried about Paddy's game. I think he's well-rounded.
17:12He knows that, you know, he always has his hands up.
17:16He moves really well. He punches super hard.
17:19He kicks super hard and even on the ground he has perfect movement,
17:24so I'm pretty sure it's going to be a good night for him.
17:32I know that my hands are much more superior to Mark's,
17:35but I'll not be caught stuck in there throwing punches and bunches, you know.
17:42If I could write down my perfect fight,
17:43it would be to ride the wave of a grappler and then break them and finish them after.
17:50Up, up. Up, up. Up, up.
17:53Nice.
17:54This sport demands absolutely everything from you, you know, physically, mentally.
18:00You have to give it your absolute all.
18:03Nice.
18:04So I just want to be a good example for the younger generation, especially my younger brother.
18:09I just know how much of a positive impact it will have on him
18:13if I am trying to live my life the right way and just go for my dreams, you know.
18:17I finally feel like I'm getting to that point in my career where,
18:21you know, he's like, he's proud of his big brother and...
18:23And...
18:47Growing up in Belfast, 90% of the people you know,
18:50they're either hooked on drugs or selling drugs.
18:53So I just know there's so many bad examples of role models in the area
18:59and it just became a number one priority and goal
19:04to make sure that my younger brother had a good role model to look up to.
19:11Flying knee, let's go.
19:22When you walked to Cape Town, where did you start from?
19:33Do you know where Mall of Africa is?
19:36I do know where Mall... That is in Johannesburg.
19:39When I was 18, I moved to Johannesburg.
19:41At a point, life just kind of... It became a tornado.
19:46I was dealing with a lot of medical issues.
19:49Accident after accident, misfortune after misfortune.
19:53I dislocated a tendon in my ankle.
19:55Not having medical aid, not having being able to afford medical aid.
19:59I ran out of money.
20:00Just the **** wouldn't stop, bro.
20:02Like, I would do everything that I can to try get back to it
20:07and then someone would drive me off my motorbike.
20:10I'm on my motorcycle and out of the blue, someone side swipes me
20:15on the same ankle that I just had surgery on.
20:19It was just one thing after the other.
20:21I was hopeless and I needed answers.
20:23Like, I don't understand.
20:25I'm putting in all the effort.
20:26I'm putting in all the work, but nothing is working out.
20:30I feel like I need to meet with God somewhere.
20:33I need to meet God on the mountain because I need direction.
20:36In saying that, my sister told me,
20:38look, there's a mountain in Cape Town.
20:42Table Mountain.
20:44And I laughed because Cape Town is in miles.
20:47It's about 900 miles away from Johannesburg.
20:51And I said, well, then I'll walk there.
20:53And she laughed because it's obviously ridiculous to think of walking such a distance.
20:58But my mind was made up and I had a meeting with God.
21:02So I picked up a backpack here.
21:05I picked up a sleeping bag there.
21:08I picked up a tent there.
21:09And within a week, my sights were set on Cape Town and I started my long walk.
21:14I walked from Johannesburg to Cape Town.
21:17It was a long journey, about 900 miles away.
21:21How long did you walk the first day?
21:24The first day, I think I walked like 30 kilometers.
21:36I slept next to the road many nights.
21:40A lot of times, not even in a tent.
21:46End goal was still to meet God on a mountain.
21:49Table Mountain, Cape Town.
21:53How long did it take you to get to Cape Town?
21:5650 days.
21:5750 days?
21:5850 days.
22:05How did you feel when you got there?
22:07How did you feel when you arrived in Cape Town?
22:11I don't think I could have done it in my own strength.
22:15No.
22:16I would have never been able to do it in my own strength.
22:18There was absolutely a higher power connecting you towards it.
22:21If you look at the most dangerous countries in the entire world,
22:26you know we are ranked number five.
22:28You know that.
22:30Like honestly, my experience wouldn't say that.
22:32That's amazing.
22:34It's amazing that you were able to do that.
22:38It's actually mind-blowing.
22:45Pretoria is one of the friendlier towns in South Africa itself.
22:48There's a great sense of community.
22:51Welcome to my childhood home.
22:54Let me show you where the dream was born, in the cave.
23:03It's a storage room at the moment, but my bed was there.
23:06Place, lamp, and then cupboard.
23:11I've never been a conformist.
23:13I never enjoyed school.
23:15I understood the value in learning,
23:18but at the same time, I wanted to forge my own way in life.
23:24Eventually, I came across cage fighting, or MMA as we know it now.
23:30And I said, this is it.
23:33This is the one I want to do.
23:34I found Team CIT five years ago.
23:38Team CIT is in the heart of Pretoria.
23:45I've been so dedicated to the sport that
23:49everything in my life gets built around MMA,
23:53gets built around me becoming a better fighter
23:56so that I can make it to the top.
23:57I am the next ultimate fighter.
24:04To the scale, Mark Youm.
24:24I can see Mark putting the pressure from the beginning,
24:27securing the takedown, hammering him with elbows
24:31to a point where Paddy gives his back, gives his neck,
24:34and I can see Mark latching onto a submission
24:37either in the first or in the second.
24:39184 and a half.
24:44To the scale, Paddy McCord.
24:48I see Paddy knocking Mark out,
24:51either with his hands or with a flying knee.
24:55I think it's going to be a quick fight.
24:57He's my brother, so I'm going to support him until the end.
24:59I'm going to believe in him.
25:01He's going to do this.
25:02186.
25:06It's time for the last quarterfinal fight of the competition.
25:09South Africa versus Ireland in the middleweight division.
25:14Paddy came into the house with only five fights,
25:16but in just a few years as a pro,
25:19he's shown that he is a very dangerous fighter
25:22and he's an impressive striker who can finish fights quick.
25:26Ten more chokes on me, it's real nice.
25:30Mark, on the other hand,
25:31is one of the most experienced fighters in the house.
25:33He's got 15 pro fights, 12 wins,
25:36and most of them are by submission.
25:39Obviously, he's going to be looking to take this fight to the ground.
25:43So let's see which fighter can implement their game plan
25:45and make it into the semis.
25:55INDISTINCT
26:09Whenever I'm in the nick over on their position,
26:11I know I have the position secure.
26:13On the defence, I'll just be patient.
26:15Let him use a bit of energy, turn him and punish him.
26:18Make him burn his arms.
26:20That's what I'm thinking, bro.
26:21As soon as I have the escape when I'm against the fence,
26:23whenever we're on the fence and he's trying to rush takedowns,
26:26once I know I have it defended, I want to be patient,
26:29let him use a bit of energy.
26:30Yeah, yeah.
26:31Chill for a bit, breathe, breathe.
26:32Yeah.
26:33Then I'll exit and punish him.
26:34Yeah.
26:35I have an absolutely superb eye for a finish.
26:38Anyone who I've been in there with will tell you that.
26:41I've went in the fates, heavily injured,
26:43and still been able to get guys out of there
26:45because I do believe that my killer instinct is world-class.
26:49I have the skills to run through this guy, so...
26:50100%.
26:51We'll see.
26:53100%.
26:55You have the skills, the mental game.
26:59You have the preparation, you know.
27:01That's it, bro.
27:02Done the hard runs, done the hard yards.
27:04Exactly.
27:05It's just in God's hands now, bro.
27:16Representing South Africa is an honour.
27:19It's a privilege.
27:20I'm grateful for this opportunity.
27:23And I praise God for this opportunity.
27:26May God arise.
27:27May his enemies be scattered.
27:29May you blow them away like smoke,
27:31as wax melts before the fire.
27:34But may the richest be glad and rejoice before God.
27:37May they be happy and joyful.
27:39Amen.
27:40Amen.
27:41That's it.
27:53I fight for a better future.
28:07I fight for the fun of it.
28:09I fight because in school,
28:13I didn't see myself fitting into a society
28:15where I had to do a nine-to-five,
28:17and I had to report to a boss,
28:19and I had to live like everybody else.
28:21I want to make my own way in life.
28:23I want to find my own way.
28:24I want to see what is for me,
28:26and what is not for me.
28:27And I want to experience all of that
28:31on my own.
28:34Let's go, boys.
28:35Let's go.
28:37Baby, you ready for war?
28:39They be terrified when they hear my name.
28:46Taking over the world because I'm the best in the game.
28:53Whenever they ask me where I'm representing
28:55and where I'm fighting out of,
28:56I always say West Belfast.
29:00Because it's the ghetto.
29:01It's the slums.
29:02Once people do well in West Belfast,
29:04then they don't want to be associated with it anymore.
29:06Everyone gets up and gets the f*** out of there,
29:09and never looks back.
29:10So I was always like,
29:11whenever I'm doing well for myself
29:13and I get to where I want to be,
29:14I'm going to be f***ing screaming West Belfast
29:16from the top of my lungs,
29:17just so every kid coming behind me
29:19knows that it's possible to get to where you want to be,
29:21no matter where you come from.
29:35Do your things.
29:36Do your things.
29:37Keep fighting.
29:38Keep fighting no matter what.
29:40You're going to be great.
29:41Just see everything.

30:39I am victorious.
30:43Paddy, tonight is the night.
30:45Your dreams end and my future begins.
30:55Your time.
30:58When I walk into the octagon,
31:00it's just like mixed emotions of excitement and fear.
31:04Fearful, not of getting hurt, but not fulfilling my potential.
31:09But also the excitement that I get to express myself.
31:16It's just kill or be killed.
31:19I got to take this guy out before he takes me out.
31:22Nothing more, nothing less.

35:24Let him go.
35:24Let him go.
35:29Stay here.
35:29Stay here.
35:34Don't worry about me, Paddy.
35:35I'm a solid champion.
35:38Nice.
35:40Nice one, Paddy.
35:42You did it.
35:52Round one started pretty cool.
35:55Paddy wanted to kick.
36:00But Mark took his leg and put him down.
36:03He wanted to do wrestling with him.
36:10Mark came in with a clear strategy
36:12and was in complete control out wrestling Paddy.
36:18We told Paddy to keep patient.
36:22Just don't give the back.
36:28Paddy stayed calm.
36:29Didn't panic.
36:31Try to watch him now.
36:32Use that elbow.
36:33Use that elbow.
36:38Nice, Paddy.
36:39You got it.
36:39You got it.
36:41This is what happened.
36:43He rushed a little bit.
36:49Paddy was able to take his neck.
36:54He surprised everyone finishing this fight with a guillotine.
36:58Stay here.
37:02Unfortunately, he could not continue the fight.
37:08I'm not surprised that Paddy submitted Mark
37:10because he's super talented, you know, in every area.
37:14He's good at everything.
37:15So I'm happy that he was able to finish it.
37:20Damn good.
37:21Really good.
37:22Don't worry about me.
37:23I'm a solid champion.
37:28All right.
37:28We have a winner of submission.
37:29Tap the guillotine.
37:31Paddy.
37:46It feels amazing to get my first win in the Ultimate Fighter.
37:49It's a dream come true.
37:51Brother, you visualized it.
37:53Good.
37:53You visualized it, brother.
37:55All right, done.
37:55Created for violence.
37:57Yes, brother.
37:58Thank you so much.
38:00The middleweight bracket,
38:01and I just took out one of the most experienced middleweights in the bracket.
38:06So I'm happy today that I was able to show what I'm about.
38:12Let it all out, bro, because it's your moment.
38:15You made it here, brother.
38:16You made it here through all the struggle.
38:19Sorry, buddy.
38:19Through all the struggle, my bro.
38:21Yes.
38:23Come on, man.
38:25I'm so proud of you, bro.
38:26You've grown as a man, as a fighter.
38:31This is incredible.
38:32Crazy.
38:40Just knowing that there's some kids in my area who are going to be watching this
38:43and will be able to take inspiration and believe that
38:46if someone from where they come from can do it,
38:48that they too themselves can do it,
38:51it just means the world to me.
38:52I'm just so happy that I was able to display my skills today and get the victory,
38:57and I just hope if I can inspire one kid back home, then my job is done.
39:07Well done, brother.
39:07That was amazing.
39:08That was so amazing.
39:10So proud of you, brother.
39:11Irish brother.
39:18I can stand here and give you a million excuses of what happened.
39:22Why it happened.
39:23What I think went wrong.
39:25But at the end of the night, Paddy was a better fighter.
39:28He dug deep.
39:29He got the choke.
39:31And he capitalized on my mistake.
39:34And well done to him for that.
39:44I came here with intentions.
39:46Intentions to win.
39:48Tonight, it didn't go my way.
39:50I take this loss on the chin like a man.
39:54I'll keep my chin up high.
40:06It happens.
40:06It's part of the game.
40:08I'll go to bed smiling tonight, knowing that I did everything I could in there.
40:12And tomorrow is a new day.
40:13I'm going to show up for my training partners.
40:15I'm going to be there for them.
40:17And I'm going to watch them cross the finish line.
40:19And become the ultimate fighters.
40:24Quarterfinals are over.
40:25And we have our eight semifinalists.
40:27Five from Team Grazo.
40:29And three from Team Shevchenko.
40:31Hey, guys.
40:33How are you?
40:34Doing good.
40:34Doing good.
40:35Coaches and I will decide the semifinal matchup.
40:38So I want to sit down and talk to Valentina and Alexa.
40:41Who's the best featherweight?
40:43And who's the best middleweight?
40:45I also want to hear from each fighter about who they want to fight.
40:48Oh, for the middleweight, I think it's easier for me.
40:52Because I have just Ryan from my team.
40:55For my team, I choose Robert.
40:57The feather can.
40:59I'm going to bring him in here.
41:01I just like to hear what they have to say.
41:03And what they think.
41:03And who they think is the best.
41:05And who they'd like to fight.
41:06And yeah.
41:08Period.
41:09Right?
41:09Hello, Daniel.
41:10What's up, brother?
41:10How are you?
41:11Come on in.
41:11Have a seat.
41:12Who do you think is the easiest path for you into the finale?
41:16I'm not here for easy.
41:17I'm here for entertainment.
41:18I'm here for violence.
41:19So whatever my coaches say and tell me to do,
41:22that is what I will do.
41:23Love that.
41:25I'm here to fight everyone.
41:26I believe I can finish Ziyech because of his recent performance
41:31and how his health is at right now.
41:33I think Rudy is the boring fighter,
41:35which I'm going to anti-wrestle and finish him also.
41:38If you could pick anybody that you wanted to fight, who would you pick?
41:41Ziyegar.
41:41Because I fought the best wrestlers that they have.
41:44And now I want to fight the best striker.
41:46Who do you think is the toughest guy here?
41:48Me.
41:51Have a good day.
41:53Who's the easiest fight for you to make it to the finale?
41:58I think Myron.
42:00If you could pick anybody in this last matchup?
42:02I would like to fight Omran.
42:05And I'm going to make it violent.
42:07You know my style.
42:08I'm violent.
42:09Right.
42:10And I'm not making no jokes, no boring fights.
42:13Blood will be shed.
42:14We're going to throw down to the end.
42:19Pleasure.
42:20Come on in, buddy.
42:21How are you, brother?
42:22Who do you think is the easiest road for you to make it to the finale?
42:26Ron Loader.
42:27That's the guy?
42:28That's the guy.
42:29Who do you think is the toughest guy here?
42:31Toughest guy?
42:32Paddy and Robert.
42:34But I think my skills everywhere grappling and submission games,
42:38striking, counter striking is better than the two guys.
42:43I think I'm a better fighter.
42:46Pleasure.
42:47Omran's probably my easiest route to the finale.
42:50All three of them are pretty good matchup for me because I'm a wrestler.
42:53Day one, I've wanted to fight Ron Loader.
42:55You know, he's a southpaw wrestler.
42:57They think he's just an ideal matchup for me.
42:59Like, and I genuinely believe that I'll knock that guy out 100%.
43:02Like, I think I'm just, I'm a wrestler's worst nightmare.
43:05All of my fights, I've rid the wave early of the wrestler and finish these guys.
43:09And I believe I'll do it to Ron Loader.
43:11All right.
43:13Couldn't be any more clear and dry than that, buddy.
43:16Congrats.
43:17Good, good crew, man.
43:19I like these guys a lot.
43:20The guys are very motivated and they are ready to fight, really.
43:28After hearing from the fighters and the coaches,
43:30I put together the best matchups for the semifinals.
43:37So our first step, we started with the middleweights.
43:40It's gonna be Ryan against Omran.
43:44This is the most international group of fighters we've ever had on The Ultimate Fighter.
43:48And in the semis.
43:49Each of the eight fighters is from a different country, which is very, very cool.
43:55Ryan is one of the top wrestlers this season,
43:57but Omran showed that he can grapple and that he can finish a fight.
44:01So this is going to be a very good matchup.
44:06The first featherweight semifinal is also between two guys with great ground game.
44:11Rudy.
44:11Rudy is an Olympic level wrestler from South Africa,
44:20but he's going against Con Offley from Australia,
44:23a black belt in jujitsu, and this should be a badass fight.
44:31Second fight between my team.
44:33This breaks my heart, but I know guys, you will give a war and that's why we are here.
44:39Robert and Paddy.
44:42Hey.
44:44Paddy from Ireland and Robert from Switzerland should be another great fight,
44:48and they're both on Team Grasso.
44:51They're friends, but they're going to have to put that aside to earn a spot in the finale.
44:55It's teammate versus teammate.
44:57My favorite thing of all time.
44:59So let's see what happens.
45:02Let's go.
45:03The last semifinal fight will be between featherweights Myron Santos of Brazil
45:08and Zsiga Ramoska of Lithuania.
45:12These two guys had wars in their quarterfinal fights.
45:18Both these guys are tough and have great stand-up.
45:20This is going to be an exciting fight.
45:26Now we know the next fight.
45:28Let's keep training and go hard because the show goes on.
45:32Let's go.
45:33Let's go, guys.
45:39On the next episode of The Ultimate Fighter.
45:44The competition heats up as the semifinals get underway.
45:48Lower your levels.
45:49There.
45:50Team Grasso's multi-skilled threat from Finland Omran Chavin.
45:54I beat this guy, you know.
45:56I am better MMA fighter.
45:58Steps into the cage to take out all-American wrestling phenom Ryan Loader of the United States.
46:04You have to push yourself all the time.
46:06Who will claim the first middleweight spot in the live finale?
46:10I'm going to wear that flag proud and I'm going to represent the United States in the right way.
46:15One step closer to becoming the next Ultimate Fighter.
46:19You ready to fight?
46:20Yeah.
46:20Let's go.
