00:00So kids, today I will tell you another panchatantra story.
00:03And today's story is titled, Four Friends.
00:07Long time ago in a jungle, lived three friends.
00:10A turtle, a crow and a mouse.
00:13They were very good friends.
00:15They always helped each other.
00:18One day, when they were sitting and talking near the lake,
00:21a deer walked up to them.
00:23Upon seeing the deer, for the first time in the jungle,
00:26the turtle said,
00:27You are a newbie.
00:29I have never seen you in this jungle before.
00:32I am new to this jungle.
00:33The previous jungle in which I lived,
00:36I had no friends there.
00:38I tried to befriend other animals.
00:40But no one wanted to be my friend.
00:43So I left the jungle and ultimately reached here.
00:47So you are all alone.
00:49And you are in need of a friend.
00:51Yes.
00:52The turtle, the crow and the rat look at each other and smile.
00:57Although we were just three friends so far,
01:00but now we are four.
01:02The deer became friends with them.
01:05The next day, all four of them,
01:07went in different directions to look for food.
01:10By evening, they used to meet at the same spot.
01:13Everything continued the same way for a few days.
01:16Then one day, the deer didn't return in the evening.
01:20Due to this, the other three friends started getting worried.
01:24The sun has almost set.
01:26Why hasn't the deer yet returned?
01:28He never got this much late.
01:30Yes, he should have been back by now.
01:33We must go and look for him.
01:36Yes, let's go and search him.
01:38No, not you two.
01:41Only I will go.
01:42I can fly.
01:44Thus, I will have a wider view.
01:47And will be able to find him quickly.
01:49The crow took off to search the deer.
01:52After wandering for a while,
01:54the crow heard a voice.
01:55He gazed down at the ground
01:56and saw the deer is trapped in a net.
01:59Seeing his friend in a dreary condition,
02:01he immediately went down to him.
02:04Dear friend, just help me get out of here.
02:07You don't worry.
02:09Let me think of something.
02:11Without wasting time,
02:12he flew back to the turtle and the rat
02:15who were waiting for him.
02:17The crow narrated them the whole situation.
02:19What are you saying?
02:21A hunter?
02:22Yes, a hunter has trapped the deer.
02:26Before the hunter returns,
02:28rat, my friend, come with me
02:30and gnaw the trap with your sharp teeth.
02:33The crow and the rat reached the spot.
02:36Gnaw this net, my friend.
02:38The rat quickly gnawed the net
02:40and the deer was freed.
02:41The turtle also reached there.
02:44Are you okay, my friend?
02:46Yes, I am fine.
02:48All of you saved me.
02:50Then suddenly,
02:51the hunter returned to the spot
02:53and saw the deer free.
02:54The rat saw the hunter.
02:56Oh my God!
02:58The hunter is here.
02:59Run, run.
03:01Seeing the hunter came closer,
03:02all of them started to flee.
03:04The crow flew away.
03:05The rat ran for the nearest hole.
03:07The deer sprinted inside the bushes.
03:09The turtle, however,
03:11could neither run nor hide.
03:13The hunter caught the turtle,
03:15put him in a sack and took him away.
03:17After some time,
03:19the deer, the rat and the crow
03:21gathered at one place.
03:22They were very sad about
03:24the turtle being captured.
03:25In order to save my life,
03:27turtle got captured.
03:29I have a trick,
03:31through which the turtle can be saved.
03:33How?
03:35The hunter is alone
03:36and we are three.
03:38He hasn't reached the river yet.
03:40The crow explained them his trick
03:42and how it has to be executed.
03:44That's a brilliant idea.
03:46Let's go now.
03:48When they reached lakeside,
03:49according to the crow's trick,
03:51the deer pretended to be dead
03:53and the crow pretended
03:55gouging out the crow's eye.
03:56The rat was ready waiting in the bushes
03:58for the right moment.
04:00The hunter approached the spot
04:02and saw the deer lying dead on the road.
04:04He said,
04:05Wow, my deer.
04:08The hunter got greedy
04:09and went ahead to catch the deer.
04:11As soon as the hunter
04:13moved away from the sack,
04:14the mouse ran to the sack
04:16and started gnawing it.
04:17The moment the hunter
04:18came closer to the deer,
04:20the crow flew away,
04:21the deer got up and ran away.
04:24The hunters failed to understand
04:26what was happening.
04:27By now,
04:29the rat had freed the turtle
04:30from the sack too.
04:32They too immediately
04:33rushed toward the bushes.
04:35The hunter came back disappointed
04:36to pick up the sack
04:38to find out that the sack was not
04:39and the turtle had escaped.
04:41The hunter felt distressed.
04:43On the other hand,
04:44the turtle, the deer,
04:46the rat and the crow
04:47were united with happiness.
04:48So kids,
04:50from this story,
04:51you learn a lesson
04:53that unity is strength.
