Women's rights groups protest against abortion law in Poland

00:07a bill aimed at changing the country's restrictive abortion law. The pro-abortion activists organized
00:12the rally in Warsaw on the day of the final session of parliament or Sejm, just before
00:17the summer recess began. Almost two weeks ago, the lower house rejected a bill which
00:22would decriminalize abortion, meaning anyone who assisted a woman in terminating her pregnancy
00:27would not face prosecution.
00:57The liberalization of abortion laws was one of the main objectives of current Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
