Parkinson hails Reynolds and McElhenney's Wrexham impact

Parkinson praised Hollywood Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney for uplifting the football club

00:00Yeah, it's been different. It's totally different, but we've enjoyed it and the area, Wrexham

00:07area, has been uplifted by the football team doing well, but equally the owners and the

00:14feel-good factor they've brought into the area, the American tourists and tourists from

00:19other countries coming round to look at the racecourse ground. And obviously when Rob

00:25and Ryan bought the football club, one of the aims was to see could a successful team

00:32transform an area, and I think certainly it's along the way of doing that. You really feel

00:37it in the town that everybody's walking around with a smile on their face and enjoying being

00:43part of it, because I think everyone is a part of it. And for those of you who know

00:47the story, Wrexham Football Club has had a lot of tough times in being in the National

00:53League for 15 years, a lot of times nearly went out of business. So all those people

00:57who were there through the tough times are really enjoying this ride, and so right. We

01:03want to keep the story going, and the way we do that is by keep producing teams which

01:08can win football games and keep us competitive at the top of our respective division.
