00:00Look, I tell you what, when I come into this area, I find a radio station that's called Power FM.

00:07I used to see signs saying bursting with power.

00:11I see the power station that has just built those with their cooling towers,

00:16belting out steam because they're keeping the toasters and they're keeping the hot water systems

00:21and they're making sure people in the lifts in Sydney can go up and down and not get stuck between floors.

00:26The traffic light's on, the air conditioner's on.

00:30This is the reality of the world.

00:33And this area, Musselbrook, the town of Musselbrook's doing it.

00:38And the coal that comes out of this area, the wealth in royalties, in GST, in corporate tax rates,

00:44so that the Treasurer can go up and say, hey, we've got ourselves a surplus.

00:49Well, thank you very much, Musselbrook.

00:53Thank you very much, Garda.

00:55Thank you very much, Singleton and Cessnock.

00:57Thank you very much, Port of Newcastle.

00:59Thank you very much, Gladstone.

01:01Because this is the reality, the reality.

01:04And I'll give you another reality, really important, really important.

01:08We've got to respect places like Musselbrook.

01:11We've got to make sure that Australia understands places like Musselbrook.

01:15And Musselbrook, once more, is going to the port.

01:18As I see it, and the people I speak to say, OK, we'll take the next step.

01:22Baseload power.

01:24We used to use coal to boil rocks.

01:26Now we're going to use another rock to boil water.

01:28And we're not going to use uranium.

01:30We're going to use uranium.

01:31We'll get the boilermakers back, fitters and turners back, lekkies back.

01:34Jobs.

01:36We've got to have them living in Musselbrook.

01:38We want the jobs.

01:39We've got a nice house with a little pool, a little boat to take out in Glenbourne Dam.

01:43You know, this is life.

01:45We want you to help us pay for that.

01:46We want to get a good wage, good salary, plus penalty rates, and have a good standard of living.

01:51And in doing that, we provide this nation with the capacity to become as strong as possible, as quickly as possible.
