00:00Hello and welcome to this yet another broadcast on One India News where we are
00:06decoding the budget that has been just presented by Nirmala Sitharaman and the
00:11hopes and aspirations of 140 million Indians whether they have been dashed
00:16whether they have got the much-needed Philip or they are still waiting for
00:20better positioning for better rewards for better returns as far as the
00:26budgets are concerned we'll have to discuss that to what we have gathered so
00:30far is that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has applauded the budget presented
00:34by Nirmala Sitharaman the Finance Minister saying that this budget
00:38factors in all sections of the society and it's a forward-looking budget as far
00:43as the Congress is concerned well they have on expected lines criticized the
00:47budget saying it's a copy paste budget it has it's a populist appeasing budget
00:51and once again Rahul Gandhi has targeted Adani and Ambani in his tweet
00:56whether it is the politics that will dominate the proceedings or will it be
01:01the victory for the common man let's discuss it with Ajay Dua former
01:05Secretary Ministry of Commerce Government of India who is there with us
01:08to discuss the matters Mr. Dua thank you so much yes which is well your your
01:12initial reactions how do you look at it not much change in the tax labs except
01:18for the new tax regime plus a lot for there for MSMEs what is your overall
01:23impression of the budget I think there is a lot for everyone it may not be
01:28adequate but the budget has tried to signal and address all the challenges
01:36facing the economy and the society currently when I say this I refer to the
01:45emphasis on farming emphasis to rural areas the emphasis in the budget going
01:55to consumption as well as and through and consumption being addressed through
02:00employment efforts at employment training three schemes being done and
02:06simultaneously not taking away the emphasis which has been on capex by the
02:14government that has continued and that has increased somewhat if some money is
02:20gone to Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and a couple of other states it is on
02:28infrastructure it is through capex it is not freebies which can be looked down
02:35upon so I would say irrespective of the fact that Bihar and Andhra have been
02:42specifically picked up and funds earmarked for it they continue to be on
02:48infrastructure which is a much stated need and the addressing the
02:55issues of Andhra Pradesh is as per the State Reorganization Act which the
03:02Parliament passes not the state governments and in that all these things
03:08have been mentioned support for the capital to capital support for backward
03:13areas have been mentioned. Polavaram may be a separate thing altogether.
