00:00This is an event where we launch the Satellite Expatriate Center, or ESC for short.
00:10I am very pleased to have the opportunity to launch the Satellite Expatriate Center, or ESC, at Terminal 2, KLIA.
00:23Malaysia has recorded an increase in the number of expatriates,
00:28and this also shows that Malaysia has become a destination for multinational companies and investors.
00:38The increase in the number of expatriates and investment
00:43will certainly have a positive impact on the country's economy,
00:47as well as creating job opportunities.
00:51The Malaysian Immigration Department, together with the Malaysian Cooperation Talent Corporation,
00:58play an important role in easing all immigration-related matters through this ESC.
01:07The ESC is an immigration pass-through center for expatriates,
01:12their professional and responsibilities,
01:16and allows them to live and work part-time in Malaysia.
01:21This is in line with the 30-day waiting period.
01:26The types of pass-throughs are employment pass-through, or EP,
01:30responsibility pass-through, or DP,
01:33expert certificate pass-through, or PLEC,
01:36long-term social certificate pass-through, or PLS,
01:40resident talent pass-through, or RP,
01:43and resident talent responsibility pass-through.
01:46So, in line with the success of the ESC at KLIA Terminal 1,
01:51in easing expatriate matters to work properly in Malaysia,
01:56after receiving the pass-through,
01:58the Malaysian Immigration Department and the Malaysian Cooperation Talent Corporation
02:02have decided to expand the ESC service,
02:06and this time, we're doing it at KLIA Terminal 2.
02:10The ESC at KLIA Terminal 2 will be fully operational 24 hours a day,
02:17starting on June 4th,
02:20with the deployment of four officers,
02:24who will be on shifts.
02:27Since we started operations on June 4th until today,
02:33the ESC has issued a total of 72 pass-throughs so far.
02:38And I believe that the opening of the ESC
02:42proves the sincerity and commitment of the gym,
02:46and of course with the cooperation of the Talent Corp,
02:48in easing immigration matters,
02:51and furthermore,
02:52contributing significantly to the development of the country.
03:04Who are the target groups that come here as expatriates,
03:09with the types of pass-throughs that I mentioned earlier?
03:12All types of pass-throughs can be handled here.
03:15So our target is the expatriate groups
03:20that work here,
03:24with each multinational company,
03:26and various investment companies,
03:29and the role of the Talent Corp and the role of immigration in this matter
03:34is to make it easier for them,
03:36so that they feel that this is also part of ease of doing business.
03:40If the Prime Minister has carried out a worldwide promotion,
03:44and then attracted investors,
03:46attracted multinational companies,
03:48so the Talent Corp and Immigration feel proud
03:52of the finishing line,
03:55which is to make it easier for the expatriate pass-throughs to be issued.
03:59We have managed to provide a fast and efficient service.
04:04At the moment,
04:05we are installing ESCs at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2,
04:11without rejecting the possibility,
04:13on the opening day,
04:15for the potential of opening
04:17in other multinational airports.
04:25Thank you.
