00:00You mentioned Jared Brantwaite a few times, the player of the season for them last season,
00:07clearly a prized asset, obviously quite similar as we've discussed also to John Stones when
00:13he was at the club, a young English centre-back, they've signed him for small money or not
00:18at all and he's gone on to be world-class almost. How sure are you that he's going to
00:27be Everton for the next season, obviously the last at Goodison Park, will it be Brantwaite's
00:33last season as well?
00:34Well, that's the question, isn't it? I think it looks like Jared Brantwaite is going to
00:38be here next season, unless Everton got an absolutely ridiculous offer from Man Utd,
00:44that's unlikely now, isn't it? Now they've signed Lenny Yoro and the interest is from
00:50Dalit and Bayern Munich, aren't they? So unless a big offer comes on the table, I
00:56don't think Everton are going to accept it. As you say, I don't think Jared Brantwaite
01:03will have had his head turned too much, I think he's quite a level-headed person to
01:08be honest with you and he'll understand he's only had one season playing Premier League
01:14football and he can still learn. Look, he's in a side that does a fair bit of defending
01:21and he can only learn from that. He's playing next to James Tarkowski, who's got so much
01:26experience under his belt, playing in front of Jordan Pickford, who's England's number
01:31one, he's got people like Seamus Coleman in the squad and it's just a guy who when he
01:38plays with Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe at PSG, so there's plenty in the squad there,
01:43who he can listen to and learn from. But as you say, next summer, it might be interesting
01:51what happens with Jared Brantwaite, will it naturally be at the point where he's just
01:57too good and he has to move on because sometimes that happens with players. As you say, Jon
02:02Stones was one of them, the Carhu as well in the past. There are players when you think
02:09it's time for him to go, unfortunately, that's just the way it is. But he's going into the
02:16season with a lot of, I don't want to say expectations, but a lot of excitement. And
02:22there was this time last season, he had to be patient the first couple of games, but
02:27if he can have another big season, then his value will only go up, let's be honest. I
02:33don't know, or has he got him tied down until 2027, looking to maybe give him a new deal.
02:41So, I think Everton's bargain position is very strong and that's what will be the case
02:46in 12 months.
02:47Yeah, and obviously, you say his value will increase, well, his chances of making the
02:53England squad will probably also increase as well. Will he be fuelled by the fact he
02:57was left out of that fantastic England group that got to the Euros final? Will he be fuelled
03:01to make sure he's president of the 2026 World Cup, no matter who he's playing for at a
03:07club level?
03:08Yeah, well, that's it again, isn't it? He'll no longer need to be playing with the World
03:14Cup on the horizon. Mark Gahey's obviously got that berth, hasn't he, and has an excellent
03:20Euros. But you would think that maybe in two years' time, no, Lewis Dunne probably won't
03:27be in the fray. John Stones will be walked by at that time, 32. So, there's a chance
03:33for him. He just needs to be playing regularly, doesn't he, Gerard Bramford? And say, if Man
03:38United get a sort of partnership, say it is Lenny Oro and Martinez playing together and
03:44they go and do great things, then you might look at that and think, well, will they get
03:49a game there? Or will a position at maybe Man City come up? Or could it go overseas
03:54potentially, you know, buying Munich, buying a lot of English players, you know, go and
03:58get Michael Ulysse? Players like that, you know, will they look at that and think, well,
04:03maybe it could go there? Or Carlo Ancelotti knows him from his time at Everton, will he
04:07be ready to, you know, make that move to Real Madrid? He's known as absolutely a big road
04:11dream. But no, as I say, he comes across really level-headed, Gerard Bramford, and I think
04:17he'll just be taking, it's a cliche, it is every game as it is, and every game as it
04:22comes, he won't be getting too far ahead of himself.
