00:00Now, look, I'm going to go really off script here, and, you know, all my communications
00:05staffers back there are going to get a little nervous.
00:10You know, I was hanging out with my kids yesterday.
00:12We're actually swimming at the swimming pool, and somebody brought over their phone and
00:17showed me the news that Joe Biden had announced he was dropping out of this race.
00:22And look, I don't like Joe Biden, and I don't like his policies, and I'm not a Democrat
00:28primary voter.
00:29I never have been, and I never will be, unless something goes really wrong, ladies and gentlemen.
00:32But look, what is going on in this country is absolutely disgraceful.
00:38Let me get a little philosophical here.
00:40I imagine most of you did not vote for Joe Biden, and if you did, welcome aboard.
00:44We're glad to have you.
00:47But if you want to run for president, you've got to make your case to voters.
00:53You make your case to voters.
00:55That's what President Trump did, even though he would have already been the president.
00:59And even though he was by far the most popular person in the Republican Party, he ran for
01:03the Republican presidential nomination, he faced some good competition, and he made his
01:08case to voters.
01:10The idea of selecting the Democrat Party's nominee because George Soros and Barack Obama
01:17and a couple of elite Democrats got in a smoke-filled room and decided to throw Joe Biden overboard,
01:24that is not how it works.
01:26That is a threat to democracy, not the Republican Party, which is fighting for democracy every
01:30single day.
01:43This is not okay, ladies and gentlemen.
01:45You cannot, for three and a half years, take a guy who clearly didn't have the mental capacity
01:51to do the job.
01:53Kamala Harris lied about it.
01:54My Senate Democratic colleagues lied about it.
01:57The media lied about it.
01:58Every single person who saw Joe Biden knew that he wasn't capable of doing the job.
02:04And for three years, they said nothing until he became political deadweight.
02:09That is not a way to run a country.
02:11That is not a way to run a political party.
02:13That is an insult to voters.
02:15And so, and I really believe, even though I think the leadership of that party is corrupt,
02:26I really believe that most Americans are fundamentally good, whether they're Democrat, Republican,
02:31or independent.
02:32My life has taught me to put my faith in people because they put their faith in me and gave
02:37me a lot of opportunities.
02:39So my message to Democrats who are disgusted by this process, disgusted by how anti-democratic
02:46it is, you are welcome in the Republican Party where we think we should persuade voters and
02:52not lie to voters.
02:54Come on in.
02:55The water's warm.
