00:00She was able to pull off her new scenes.
00:04I've never seen Mama Marion Rivera in a scene like this before.
00:12She was so good and yes, I learned a lot from her.
00:16I'm working with a lot of professionals.
00:19The experience was legit.
00:22As a new actress.
00:24Actress!
00:25And I'm okay, right?
00:26I'm so happy that I got to work with people like Donna, Marion Rivera.
00:35They were so good.
00:36They made me meet Suprado.
00:39They were so good.
00:39And the newbies, Will, Rahil, Snare.
00:44They were so good.
00:46And I'm so happy.
00:48One of the blessings that came to my life this year is this movie.
00:53I've known Director Kip since before this movie.
01:00And I can say that whoever is going to tell a story about elections,
01:07it should be him.
01:08Because he has a lot of experience.
01:10And Kip is very political.
01:12He's very aware of social issues and all.
01:14And he's passionate about what he's doing.
01:17And he's an ally of our community, the LGBT community.
01:21He took care of my character.
01:24So I'm so happy that he's one of the people I worked with this year.
01:28Marion Rivera is my idol.
01:32She's so crazy.
01:34I was so nervous.
01:37But she's so good.
01:39She pulled off her new scenes.
01:44I've never seen Marion Rivera in a scene like this.
01:48And it was her first time in a scene like this.
01:50I told her, no matter how good you are, you can still do better.
01:54So, I'm so happy for her.
01:56I love her.
01:57I haven't seen a role that I can use or get inspiration from.
02:03In this role, Babe.
02:06So, the scene that I did, I researched the actual barangay.
02:10My friends are also from the gay barangay.
02:14They're the ones you'll notice when it comes to elections.
02:16So, they're the ones I got inspiration from.
02:19That's one of the challenges.
02:20I need to know who Babe is.
02:22Because some people are Sasagirl, some people are Babe.
02:24So, I need to see the nuances that I can give to Babe.
02:29And in fairness, I was successful in finding gay people to notice in the barangay.
02:36Because there are so many of them.
02:38So, that's it.
02:39When you fight for your rights, no matter what you do,
02:42your character, your scene,
02:44everyone has a story.
02:46Because here in Balota,
02:48everybody is passionate.
02:50Babe is passionate.
02:52Ma'am Emmy is passionate.
02:55All the cast and characters in the movie Balota are all passionate.
03:02And whenever you're passionate,
03:04of course, you can inspire other people to do as well.
03:08And you know,
03:09power is in the mass, right?
03:12When we're all together,
03:13we can say that a person doesn't have the power to change a big system.
03:20But when we're all together,
03:21normal and ordinary citizens of the world and the country,
03:26when we're all together,
03:27we have a lot of power.
03:29That's why we say,
03:31we have dreams,
03:32but we dream together
03:34so that those dreams will be stronger.
