14:12And you lifted the coveted Glitter Ball back in 2014,
14:15but your break into TV was really quite unexpected.
14:18Oh, yes, I'd never in a million years wanted to be on TV,
14:22and back in America, my dance partner decided to audition
14:26for one of those shows that's called So You Think You Can Dance.
14:30I'd been quite poorly before that and was thinking,
14:33OK, I have to work, I have to make up all that time
14:36I lost being in the hospital, and she said,
14:39well, I need your help, since we're ballroom and Latin dancers
14:43and do better when we dance together,
14:45please come and help me audition.
14:47And I said, OK, fine. I have to cancel my lesson, but I'll be there.
14:51So I came there with my partner, Anya,
14:54and my dance partner Anya came out and she did a couple of moves.
14:59A producer who was looking at all of that, Jeff Thacker,
15:03was quite impressed with her.
15:05Then he remembered that she's actually part of the duet.
15:08So he said, OK, where's your boy? Come and dance together.
15:12So we got in the middle of that little stage.
15:15It was probably a 5x5 little square of hardwood floor.
15:18We did our bit, we danced a little bit of cha-cha-cha,
15:22and Jeff Thacker came to me and he didn't even look at Anya at all.
15:27He came to me and said, so, why are you not auditioning?
15:30I said, well, I've been just sick, I need to work.
15:33He's like, why are you not auditioning?
15:36I'm like, he's so persistent.
15:38I was coming up with different excuses.
15:41For five or six times he repeated the same thing.
15:44He didn't say anything else but, why are you not auditioning?
15:47I'm like, what a tough guy.
15:49And then he said, you know what?
15:51If you're not going to audition,
15:53I'm not going to let your partner go through to the judges.
15:56I'm like, OK, he's blackmailing me.

16:05to make a decision.

26:23the Lord Chancellor,
26:25one of the highest offices
26:27in Britain.
26:29The highest office in the Crown, in fact.
26:31Formerly presided over the House of Lords.
26:33A pretty important position.
26:35But the Lord Chancellor may be surprised to know
26:37that such an
26:39office of great prominence actually began
26:41with a very humble lattice
26:43grating. Because in the Roman
26:45Empire, the Chancellor
26:47was a low-ranking officer.
26:49It was an usher who stood at the lattice
26:51screen that separated the judges
26:53in the law court from
26:55the crowd, often quite an unruly crowd.
26:57And he took the title of his job

27:01the screen, because cancelli

27:11But in the course of time, he was given

27:51this document, once it was cancelled out,
