00:00Hello everyone. Today I'm going to review Hard Bite Chips. Now I've reviewed one of
00:07the flavors before and I really liked it. I never heard of Hard Bite. I do find it
00:11to be kind of an odd name for a bag of chips. Hard Bite! But hey, they were good
00:18and I enjoyed them. And you can check out that review. I'm not telling you the
00:24rating I gave, but I liked it good enough to try a different flavor. Who knows?
00:29Maybe I gave it a bad rating. So check out my previous Hard Bite review of
00:34chips. And this is a Canadian company. And right on the back it says no trans fat,
00:39no cholesterol. It's also cooked in, well this one's not. The other one said it
00:46was cooked in almond oil. So this is spicy dill pickle, nothing artificial,
00:50non-GMO. And this doesn't seem like it's cooked in almond oil. Let's see here. It
00:57says, we've always loved farming the West Coast and it's healthy act of
01:01lifestyle. Oh, and potatoes. So we decided to celebrate both by making our own
01:07delicious chips by cooking in small batches and using simple ingredients. We
01:11ensure the highest quality flavor. We're proud to bring you Hard Bite. All
01:15potatoes, no couch. That, again, that no couch thing. I'm like, well, you want to
01:20be a couch potato. That's why you eat chips. You eat chips to be a couch
01:24potato and watch a movie. Oh, movie. That's what you do. So I don't understand why
01:30they say no couch. Well, I know I'm sitting outside now reviewing it outside
01:35on a bench. So they could have said no bench. But anyway, that's, and then of
01:41course they're on Facebook and they're on Twitter. That's called X now and
01:45they're called Instagram. Made in Canada, natural BC Canada. So the calories are
01:55240, 16% fat, 8 trans fat, 14 fiber. And we all know what fiber does for us. You
02:04need fiber. And sugar 4%, sodium 10, and 16% potassium. Very important. If you ever
02:11feel tired or weak or something's a little off, you probably lack potassium.
02:15Some people lack potassium. And I know somebody that almost died because they
02:20weren't sure what was wrong with them until they realized they needed more
02:24potassium in their body. So that's important. Calcium is 1%, iron is 8, and
02:30I'm sweating like crazy because it's hot out and it's driving me nuts. I shouldn't
02:34be eating chips drying my throat. I should be doing something else here. No
02:38trans fat. But it doesn't tell me in oil this time. Last time it was almond oil.
02:42This one it's not saying. So the ingredients are potato, sunflower oil. So
02:50this one's sunflower oil, onion powder, garlic powder, citrus and spices, natural
02:55flavors. And of course they have French here too. So let's open this baby up. If I can.
03:01Oh my gosh.
03:06Whoo. Now that smells like dill pickle. Oh yeah. Oh, I like that smell. I like that
03:13smell. I don't like the sweat going into my eyes right now because it's beaming
03:18down on me. You probably can't even see my face because the sun is like, ah,
03:22driving me crazy. But let's see what hard. Oh, I really like the smell. The smell of
03:28dill pickle. It smells like dill pickle. Nice and strong smell that I like. I like
03:32dill pickle. And if you don't know this, dill pickle chips, or just not dill pickle
03:38chips, dill pickles in general. In the 80s, all sandwiches came with a dill
03:42pickle. So you would get a sandwich. They would give you a dill pickle because
03:45dill pickle helped with digestion. So digestion is a very important thing. For
03:51many reasons, so is fiber. So let me check. Let me just try these chips.
04:05Sadly enough, they seem a bit stale. Yeah. They smell. They smell stronger than they
04:16taste. They don't have that strong flavor. They have a very light flavor of dill
04:21pickle, where I would prefer a super strong flavor of dill pickle. Yeah, it's
04:36still good, but it's also not great. So honestly, I would give this. Let me just
04:41eat another chip. They are consistent in flavor.
04:52I'd give a 6.5 out of 10. It's not my favorite bag of dill pickle, spicy dill
05:03pickle. I would prefer a bit more spice that you're not really getting. Oh, it's
05:07kicking in a little bit now, but it's not strong. It's a very light flavor and a
05:12more stronger flavor of dill that I'm just not getting. So, and they kind of did
05:17taste a little stale too, sadly to say. So a 6.5. I'm actually being a little
05:23generous, but I do like them still. You know how you like something and you
05:27don't at the same time? I like it. I'm addicted. I can still eat it, but it's not
05:31great. It's not perfect. It's okay. So a 6.5 everyone out of 10. Hard bite. And
05:37I'll try other flavors as well. So check out my other flavor. I can't remember
05:41what it was now. Maybe it was just the original. I honestly don't know. I can't
05:44I don't even remember the rating I gave it. I'm not, I just don't remember. But check
05:49out Hard Bite. The company's been around for 25 years unless I'm just stupid and
05:53it was longer than that. And you can only seem to get them at Dollar Tree. I can't
05:57seem to find them anywhere else. Bye for now everyone and check out my Rib Fest
06:00Festival and my Farm Boys, not Farm Boys, Farmer's Market, Peter
06:07Bertal and much more. Bye for now and have an incredible day everyone and
06:10thank you for watching. Sad. Very sad. It should have been better. Bye for now.
