00:00This is a story of a man who worked at the post office.
00:02His job was to process all mail items that had illegible addresses.
00:06One day, a letter came to his desk, addressed, in shaky handwriting, to God.
00:11He thought, I better open this one and see what it's all about.
00:15So he opened it and it read,
00:16Dear God, I am an 83-year-old widow living on a very small pension.
00:20Yesterday, someone stole my purse.
00:22It had $100 in it, which was all the money I had until my next pension check.
00:27Next Sunday is Easter.
00:28And I had invited two of my friends over for dinner.
00:31Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with.
00:34I have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope.
00:37Can you please help me?
00:38The postal worker was touched and went around showing the letter to all the others.
00:42Each of them dug into his wallet and came up with a few dollars.
00:46By the time he made the rounds, he had collected $96,
00:49which they put into an envelope and sent over to her.
00:52The rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow,

00:57Easter came and went, and a few days later came another letter from the old lady to God.

01:14We had a very nice day, and I told my friends of your wonderful gift.
