00:21The one who does Trayodashi Vrat gets the result of giving 100 cows.

00:26A person who does Pradosha Vrat,

00:28should always keep in mind the lord Shiva,

00:31who is wearing the garland of Varadahastha,

00:34Trishul and Naga lotus,

00:36and wearing a Pingal varna,

00:38a jatajhud dhari,

00:40a blue katha and along with it,

00:42various Rudraksha malas,

00:44who is wearing Vardahastha,

00:46Trishul dhari and Nagas kundal.

00:49Once upon a time,

00:51on the bank of the Param Paavan Bhagirathi,

00:54a large gathering was organized by the Rishi Samaj.

00:58In the gathering of the learned Maharshis,

01:00Vyas Ji's disciple, Suta Ji Maharaj,

01:03arrived with the Hari Kirtan.

01:06Seeing Suta Ji Maharaj,

01:07all 88,000 Rishis and Munis stood up and paid their respects.

01:12Mahagyani Suta Ji, with devotion,

01:40and will be devoid of the Vedas and Shastras.

02:06O Supreme Munis and Shonak Ji,

02:08you are worthy of gratitude.

02:10Your thoughts are admirable and commendable.

02:14Because in your heart, there is always a feeling of humility.

02:17Therefore, listen,

02:18I tell you that vow

02:21by which all sins are destroyed.

02:23The one who gives wealth,

02:25the one who destroys sorrow,

02:26the one who gives happiness,

02:28the one who gives children,

02:29the one who gives the desired fruit,

02:32I tell you this vow,

02:33which was told to Sati Ji by Lord Shankar at some time.

02:37And this supreme advice received from him

02:39was told to me by my revered Guru Ji,

02:42which I tell you at the auspicious time.

02:47Shri Suta Ji said,

02:49O thoughtful sages,

02:50all of you are devotees of Lord Shiva.

02:53Seeing your devotion,

02:54I tell you the story of Shukra Pradosh Vrat.

02:57For the prosperity of good fortune and women,

02:59Shukra Pradosh Vrat should be done.

03:01On Friday,

03:03in Pradosh Vrat,

03:03it is important to consume only food

03:05such as white food and kheer.

03:08It is a matter of ancient times.

03:10There were three friends living in a city.

03:12All three of them were very close friends.

03:15One of them was a prince,

03:16the second was a Brahmin,

03:18and the third was a Sethputra.

03:20The prince and the Brahmin son were married

03:22and the wedding was done.

03:24The Sethputra was also married,

03:26but the wedding was not done.

03:28One day, all three friends were discussing about women.

03:31The Brahmin son praised the women and said,

03:34A house without a woman is a house of ghosts.

03:37The Sethputra heard this and decided to bring his wife home immediately.

03:41The Brahmin son explained to the Sethputra that

03:44Shukra Devta is still alive.

03:46It is not the right time to bring your wife home.

03:50But the Sethputra ignored him.

03:53The Sethputra went home

03:55and told his parents about his decision.

03:58He also told his son that

04:00Shukra Devta is dead.

04:02It is not good to bring his daughters and daughters-in-law home.

04:06So,

04:06after Shukra Uday,

04:08bring your wife home.

04:10But the Sethputra insisted

04:12and went to his in-laws' house.

04:14The Sethputra's mother-in-law and father-in-law

04:16also tried to explain to their mother-in-law.

04:20But the Sethputra did not listen to anyone.

04:22The Sethputra's wife was a big devotee of Lord Shiva

04:25and she always used to do the Shukra Pradosh.

04:28On the insistence of her husband, she told her parents

04:31to explain to her daughter

04:32and on the insistence of her mother-in-law,

04:34the Sethputra's mother-in-law and father-in-law

04:37took their daughter and mother-in-law's name and left.

04:41After leaving the in-laws' house,

04:42the husband and wife left the city

04:44and their bullock cart's wheel broke

04:47and a bull's leg was broken.

04:49The wife was also badly injured.

04:50But the Sethputra continued his journey.

04:54A little ahead, the dacoits caught him

04:56and the dacoits looted all the wealth of the Sethputra.

04:59The Sethputra somehow reached home crying with his wife.

05:03He stepped inside the house

05:05and was bitten by a ferocious snake.

05:07The Sethputra called the doctors.

05:09After seeing this, the doctors announced

05:11that your son will die in three days.

05:14When the Brahmin son came to know about this incident,

05:17he told the Seth

05:19to send his son back to his in-laws' house along with his wife.

05:23All these obstacles have come because

05:26your son has come to Shukrasth to bid farewell to his wife.

05:30If he reaches there,

05:32his life will be saved.

05:33The Seth thought that the Brahmin son was absolutely right

05:36and he sent his daughter-in-law and son back to his in-laws' house.

05:39As soon as he reached his in-laws' house,

05:41the first Shukra Pradosha Vrat came,

05:43which the Sethputra's wife did with full rule and procedure.

05:47The Sethputra's condition started getting better.

05:49After a few days,

05:50when he was completely fine,

05:51the Sethputra bid farewell to his wife

05:54and brought her back to his house

05:56and started living happily with his wife,

05:57family and friends.

06:00In this way, whoever performs this vow,

06:02he gets happiness

06:04and Lord Shiva

06:05always blesses him.
