Five Centenarians celebrate their 100th birthday together at Adelaide nursing home

A group of five nursing home residents have celebrated their 100th birthday together with family and friends in Adelaide’s north-east. One centenarian said it was important to be ‘as happy as you can’ and laugh rather than hold a grudge. Bolton Clarke Nursing home’s operations director, Richard Wirth, said the individuals has given so much to the community, and the home was ‘lucky’ to have them.

00:47The joint birthday celebrations here at Walkerville today are raging on
00:50with cake, music and even champagne in hands.

00:56but to have five in the same room is a remarkable achievement.
