00:00Joint manipulation techniques will and will not work depending on whether or
00:12not the person is able to transition from one thing to the next. Sometimes you
00:20need to transition because what you intend to do may be interrupted
00:26by the person you are intending to do it to. Also understand that the person
00:36will not always go into the position you expect them to. So don't expect anything
00:43go with the flow. Some people as soon as they get put into a certain position
00:49they try to fight their self out of it. Yes there's resistance there so what
00:55you're gonna do with the resistance? You need to adapt to the resistance, feel
00:59where the resistance is going, the angles it's going at, the direction it's going
01:03into and flow with it. Transition into something else. Some people they're
01:09stronger you know I mean they will fight against that. So the fighting against can
01:16be either that they're really strong they're fighting against it or they'll
01:20turn in circles so if you put them here they'll spin out of it, they'll spin out of it here,
01:26they'll spin out of it there. Do you understand what I'm saying? So you need to know how to
01:29transition from one thing to the next. Some people are double-jointed. You
01:35understand? Joint manipulation techniques won't always hurt the person. You
01:41understand? Sometimes it's not about hurting the person but placing them into
01:46certain positions and angles which they find uncomfortable. Sometimes it will hurt
01:53them, sometimes it will not. Do you understand? So don't think to yourself that it needs to
02:00hurt. It doesn't always hurt. Also you need to understand that you do not wait
02:12until somebody fully grasps your wrist, fully grasps your arm or
02:22whatever it may be before you apply any of the techniques. As soon as it touches
02:32you go. As soon as it touches you go. Don't wait for it to go like that and
02:37then you're trying to do this and you can't, you can't move and you're all like this
02:41and you're fighting against it and you're struggling and you're wrestling with the person. As soon as it goes, as soon as it touches you go.
02:48Touch and go. You need to catch them in the moment. You can't have them become
02:57comfortable in what they've done. Now they've got you, bam, strong arm. Now you're fighting thinking it won't work. No, it won't.
03:05That's right, you're actually correct. It won't. Yeah, so as soon as you feel a touch, you go.
03:16As soon as you feel a touch, you go. Touch and go.
