Global Microsoft outage affects businesses including airlines, banks

00:06and companies worldwide including the Philippines. Cebu Pacific and AirAsia issued an advisory saying

00:13they have experienced technical issues such as unexpected rebooting of machines

00:18which are being used for passengers check-in, kiosks, and mobile applications.

00:23Both companies assured they are working on it as soon as possible to avoid travel delays.

00:28The Manila International Airport Authority has also added personnel to the check-in counters

00:34and distributed malasakit kits to affected passengers. Furthermore, the MIAA confirmed

00:41that it has monitored system issues affecting operations of two local airlines at Naia

00:46which was attributed to a cyber incident involving CrowdStrike, a cyber security provider.

00:53The Department of Information and Communications Technology or DICT is investigating the incident.
