00:08My name is Robert Olsson, and I'm the game designer for SteamWorld Heist 2.
00:15I'm excited to show you some of the fantastic mechanics we've been delicately crafting,
00:24that you'll use as you lead your crew and sail the great oceanic seashark.
00:30Let's start with the gunplay!
00:34Just like in the first game, the combat of SteamWorld Heist 2 is turn-based and you play
00:38through missions where you scrap bots, collect loot and try to get out alive.
00:43And yes, the bullets bounce!
00:49Tricochet your shots off walls, ceilings and even other robots to outwit your foes
00:54and pull off amazing trick shots.
00:58But it's not just about the firepower.
01:01The other robots who inhabit this shark come in all different parts and sizes.
01:05Some will aid you and your team on your journey.
01:11Recruit them to your crew and use our all-new job system to assign roles and abilities.
01:18As the captain, it's up to you to fine-tune their abilities for optimal performance.
01:23The weapons you equip your crewmates with decide what job they have.
01:27Each job has different weapons and abilities, enabling a multitude of different playstyles.
01:34Good luck hiding from a sniper's eye!
01:36Their laser-sighted weapons show their projectiles' path, leaving no far-away hiding space safe.
01:44Strikers bolt across any level, and there's none other as skilled at picking up loot.
01:50Fast on their feet and carrying powerful shotguns, enemies better watch their backs.
01:56Brawlers break baddies with huge hammers.
02:00With thick armor plates and the ability to heal after scrapping foes, stopping is not
02:05a part of their program.
02:08The forward-thinking Engineer both weakens their enemies and supports their teammates.
02:13Skilling, creating cover, and setting up combos, they got it all.
02:17And hey, they always get to shoot twice.
02:22Boomers blow big groups of enemies to bits.
02:25But boomers aren't one-trick robo-ponies.
02:27Who wrote this script?
02:30They have a special knack for equipping and using banging utility items.
02:36Reapers are lethal, but reckless.
02:39Whenever they scrap an enemy, they get to shoot again.
02:42Watch out!
02:43Their thirst for mayhem might get their frail frames into difficult situations.
02:50The abilities you unlock by completing missions with a specific job stay with your characters,
02:55even if they switch jobs in the future.
02:58For example, increase the precision of your Boomer with the accuracy of the Sniper.
03:05Combine the speed of the Flanker with the toughness of a Brawler.
03:09You get the point.
03:13Create specialized builds by combining job abilities with your characters' personal upgrades.
03:18And with all of the utility items and unique weapons, the possibilities are endless.
03:30The vast oceanic shard is filled with high-pressure threats and challenges, such as the diesel-driven
03:37Royal Navy.
03:38Their playstyle is more defensive.
03:41Drones, Snipers, Turrets, and Guards who can charge through just about anything.
03:46There are also Commanders who apply edicts that powers up nearby Navy units, so you better
03:53scrap them first.
03:57In the bold, chilling North, you'll encounter Rattlers, a cult of bone-obsessed bots that
04:03roam across Arctica.
04:06These cultists maniacally replace their metallic parts with bone.
04:11This makes them a simple target to scrap individually.
04:16But don't get cocky.
04:17You can easily become overwhelmed when a swarm of them spawn in.
04:21The seas of SteamWorld Heist 2 are teeming full of SteamBots both friendly and deadly.
04:40So gear up, lock and load, and get ready for the heist of a lifetime in SteamWorld Heist
