00:03Hello everyone, I'm Nintendo's Sakamoto.
00:07I'm the producer of the latest Famicom Detective Club game, EMI-O.
00:24About 30 years ago,
00:27I released two games, Kieta Koukeisha and Ushiro ni Itatsu Shoujo.
00:32They are an adventure game series based on the Famicom Disk System.
00:37I designed the game with the image of a movie where you solve the puzzles yourself.
00:44In 2021, I remade the game on the Nintendo Switch.
00:49When I played it, I thought I had to make a completely new Famicom game.
00:54I wanted to make something good, so I decided to do it.
00:58It's a new game after 30 years,
01:01so I worked on the plot, the script, and the cut scenes.
01:12EMI-O is a city legend that appears in front of a crying girl
01:15and gives her a bag of smiles in exchange for her life.
01:23You might think it's just a rumor,
01:27but it's a reality that's different from that of a ghost.
01:32By depicting the background of the rumor,
01:35the appearance of the incident itself changes.
01:38I wanted to make it into a story that asks about it,
01:41so I incorporated a system that I had never thought of before.
01:45In this game, there is a city legend called EMI-O, which is also in the title.
01:50The Utsugi Detective Agency will solve the case through a similar murder case.
02:01This game, EMI-O, is based on the know-how from past games and remakes.
02:05I made it with the idea that I had warmed up,
02:08and with the intention of doing both the script and the production,
02:11I made it while colliding my sensibilities with my trusted colleagues.
02:17EMI-O is a self-published work that is a type of completion.
02:22I expressed what I wanted to express in a straightforward way,
02:26so the result may be different for each person.
02:30That's why I want people all over the world to touch on this work,
02:35and talk about what they think and feel for a long time.
02:41I can't wait to hear the voices of the audience.
