Town centre traffic gridlocked as urgent repairs underway on road

Shrewsbury town centre was gridlocked on Friday after emergency repairs closed part of a road by the river.
One land of Mardol Quay and Smithfield Road was closed on Friday, causing traffic to come to a standstill in Shrewsbury town centre.
