00:00Hey guys, so in Japan there's a saying, Kyaku-sama wa kami-sama, so that means customer is God.

00:10So that's a home renovation company and the people in the white car have just left the

00:14store.

00:15So the staff members come to the front door and he's bowed as they've got in their car

00:20and now he has to wait until they're out of sight, so until they can't see him anymore.

00:25So he's got to stand there.

00:26Now they're sitting at a red light.

00:29So they've been delayed, but he has to wait, he has to wait until they get a green light

00:33and drive away.

00:36And quite often they won't even look back, of course, so they're not aware that he's

00:40doing this, but it's just assumed that he does, right?

00:43There he goes.

00:47And then he goes back inside.

00:50And you see that all the time, you see that all the time.

00:52Not little shops, of course, but places like this, you know, car dealers and places like

00:57that.

00:58There's a security guard on the apron at an airport and the airplane's being pushed back.

01:04And again, the passengers wouldn't be able to see him and the pilots probably wouldn't

01:07be looking in that direction because they're busy.

01:10So it doesn't matter.

01:11It doesn't matter if anyone sees it or not.

01:13It's the same as the greetings when you walk into shops in Japan, you know, they say, it

01:18doesn't matter if anyone listens to it or not.

01:20It's just what they do.

01:22And a customer walks past and they'll bow to the customer as they walk past.

01:26And it's just what they do.

01:27It doesn't really matter if anyone sees it or not.

01:29It's just what they have to do.

01:30They're told to do it.

01:32Something special is going on here.

01:33I don't know what it says on that banner.

01:34I've never got a chance to see it, but the apron staff will do this.

01:41The staff will all bow to the plane as they leave.

01:43The banner's not the usual thing, but you get the idea.
