00:00Nintendo Hints Hotline, this is Mark, how can I help you?
00:19Ah, so you need help with Hammer It Out Challenge, that's one heavy hitter.
00:23So in this one, you have to finish the level while wearing the hammer suit.
00:27So at the beginning of the challenge, you take the bottom path and outrun the Thwomp
00:31before he moves towards you.
00:33You can then take the second one out with a well-timed hammer throw.
00:37As you run along the straightaway, be sure to jump as soon as Mario is in the open to
00:42avoid that final Thwomp.
00:44Oh, and don't forget to grab the magic ball before it hits the ground or you'll lose precious
00:49seconds before ending your run.
00:51Did you get all that?
00:52Oh, you already made it through?
00:54I knew you could do it.
00:55I'm sure I'll be seeing you on the leaderboards.
00:58Anything else I can help you out with?
01:00Kid Icarus, I know just who to transfer you to.
01:04Nintendo Hints Hotline, this is Gabriel, how can I help?
01:07Okay, so you're calling about the Overcome the Underworld Challenge.
01:10Shouldn't be a problem.
01:12Starting from the bottom, this challenge has you racing to finish Stage 1-1.
01:16The key is to time your jumps, use your arrows, and know that some of the walls wrap around.
01:20Remember that you don't need to finish the challenge with full health, so don't worry
01:23about getting hit by a couple of enemies.
01:26You should also skip the doors, they're only going to make you lose time.
01:30Keep in mind that if you're moving as fast as the screen scroll, you're making good time.
01:35And yeah, that's all there is to it.
01:36It can get tough, but I'm pretty sure you can rise to the challenge.
01:43You also need help with Kirby's Adventure?
01:45Okay, let me transfer you.
01:47Nintendo Hints Hotline, this is Sherry, how can I help you?
01:50You need help with the 1-1 and Done Challenge?
01:52As the name suggests, this challenge involves you making your way through level 1-1, then
01:57you're done.
01:58Practice both short and long jumps to avoid enemies, or hold down and tap either the A
02:03or B button to use your side attack to take them out.
02:06And in some spots, you can actually land right on the enemy and bounce off them to gain momentum.
02:11You should also keep an eye out for spots where you need to float.
02:14Keep in mind that you don't need to finish with full health, so skip right past that Maxim
02:18Tomato.
02:19Oh, and don't forget to enter the door at the end to stop the clock, give it your all,
02:23and show the world your one tough and speedy puff.
02:26Oh, you have questions about Balloon Fight as well?
02:29Transferring!
02:34Nintendo Hints Hotline, this is Kay, how can I help?
02:37Oh, the Balloon Burster Challenge!
02:39I know that one all too well.
02:41Right from the jump, hold B to lift off and bounce off the platform.
02:45Then hold the right button to take out the first three enemies before they can blow up
02:48their balloons.
02:50When you go for the other two, try to defeat them right away after you pop their balloons.
02:54If you give them time to inflate another one, they'll be more aggressive the second time
02:58around.
02:59Oh, and remember that the screen wraps, so you can sneak up on your enemies from the
03:02other side.
03:03Or, they can do the same to you.
03:05Balloon Fight isn't exactly a breeze, but don't let the difficulty burst your buckle.
03:09Oh, yeah, you have a couple questions about Metroid.
03:12Got it, let me transfer you.
03:15Nintendo Hints Hotline, this is Ed, how can I help you?
03:18Got Metroid?
03:19On the NES?
03:20Uh, you do know that Samus can't crawl on this one, right?
03:24In this challenge, you're going to need to put your items and your platform into the
03:26test.
03:27Use your jumping screw attack or missiles to take out enemies blocking your path.
03:32And look for spots where Samus can run straight out the ledge without needing to jump.
03:35That'll save you time.
03:36Once you're in Ridley's chamber, get right up close and fire missiles upwards.
03:39Position yourself right, he can't dodge them and he can't hit you either.
03:43It's tough, but I know you got this.
03:45Be sure to call back if you need help bagging more bounties.
03:47You can find these challenges, plus over 150 more, in the Nintendo World Championships
03:52NES Edition game.
03:54Available now only on the Nintendo Switch system.
03:57A deluxe set is also available.
04:00You got Super Mario Bros. 3 questions.
04:02All right, let me transfer your call.
