00:26We're uniting today as Americans in the wake of the assassination attempt on the life of

00:34Everyone hear me clearly and listen to me at home and make no mistake, the House is
00:38conducting an immediate and thorough investigation of these tragic events.
00:48And that work has already begun.
00:50The American people deserve to know the truth and we will ensure accountability.

01:03We in the Republican Party are the law and order team.
01:07We always have been and we always will be the advocates for the rule of law.
01:12And we all know that that principle, as well as many others, is in serious jeopardy today.
01:18See, we've come to a moment in America where the basic things that we once took for granted
01:23are being openly challenged like never before.
01:27My friends, we are no longer just in a battle between two opposing political parties.
01:32We are, but it's not just R's versus D's anymore.
01:35We're now in the midst of a struggle between two completely different visions of who we
01:41are as Americans and what our country will be.
01:45The Republican Party stands for the foundational truths that made America the greatest nation
01:50in the history of the world.
01:52We are the most free, the most powerful, the most benevolent nation that has ever been.
01:57It's not even close.

01:59But we have no guarantee that this grand experiment in self-governance can endure unless we respond
02:07to the call to keep it.
02:10Two hundred forty-eight years ago, we boldly proclaimed in our declaration that all men
02:15are created equal, not born equal, created equal, and that we're endowed by our Creator
02:22with certain inalienable rights.
02:24See, we understand that our rights do not come from government.
02:30They come from God.
02:38There's another thing that we recognize.
02:41We recognize that we are made in His image.
02:43And because of that, every single person has inestimable dignity and value.
02:49And your value is not related in any way to the color of your skin, what zip code you
02:54live in, where you come from, what your talents are, or what you can contribute to society.
03:00Your value is inherent because it is given to you by your Creator.
03:05That's what we stand for.
03:12I speak a lot about what I call the seven core principles of American conservatism.
03:17What do we stand for as Republicans, they want to know?
03:20I think it boils down to a few things.
03:22Individual freedom, limited government, the rule of law, peace through strength, fiscal
03:28responsibility, free markets, and human dignity.
03:32Indeed, those are the seven core principles of American conservatism, but they're actually
03:36the core principles of our republic itself.
03:40And while they resonate in our hearts and in the hearts of most Americans, listen to
03:44me, the radical, woke, progressive left has disdain for those principles, all right?
03:50They have a very different vision for what America should become.
03:55They want to tear down those foundations and remold us into some sort of borderless, lawless,
04:01Marxist, socialist utopia.
04:04We're here to say, not on our watch.
04:07We will not allow that to happen.
04:12It was just three weeks ago that Kelly and I dropped off our oldest son at the Naval
04:18Academy.
04:19That's right.
04:20In four years, he'll graduate and he'll join the 1.3 million active duty service members
04:31who bravely defend our country.
04:34We're so proud of Jack and all our children, but like most parents today, we're concerned
04:38about their future.
04:40America can't risk four more years of Joe Biden's weakness that has invited so much
04:45aggression by our enemies.
04:47We can't survive the dramatic increases in violence, crime, and drugs that the Democrats'
04:52policies have brought upon our communities.
04:55And we cannot allow the many millions of illegal aliens they've allowed to cross our borders
05:01to harm our citizens, drain our resources, or disrupt our elections.
05:06We will not allow it.
05:13My friends, we're watching the principles of faith, family, and freedom that once defined
05:18our nation now being trampled underfoot by the radical left.
05:23As President Trump raised his fist and gave a rally cry on Saturday, now is our time to
05:30fight, and we will.
05:44We're in a fateful battle of ideas, my friends, and we have to recognize that.
05:49But in this battle, and in November, the American people will reject the party of self-destruction
05:55and they will elect the party of peace and prosperity and opportunity.
06:01The GOP will grow our House majority, we will take back the Senate, and we will return Donald
06:06J. Trump to the White House.
06:14Standing arm-in-arm, we will make America safe again.
06:20Listen, we reach out tonight to everyone watching at home.
06:25We invite all Americans who believe in the promise of our great nation to join us in
06:29this fateful battle.
