00:00So let's move over to the track opening weekend stats from Saratoga year over
00:08year you have an interesting year over year comparison and it seems like it's
00:11up across the board particularly when you go down to the the stat from your
00:16tweet all the way at the bottom a daily average saw a nearly 20% increase from
00:2220.6 million to 24.4 million so good news for Saratoga. That's a
00:29really significant year-over-year increase when you compare percentages.
00:33Yeah for sure Mike and I think it was a pretty positive opening weekend which
00:38the the racing season up here began on Thursday so four days Thursday through
00:45Sunday like you said 18% year over year and what I think you know kind of stuck
00:52out to me was that the the on-track handle was pretty flat up only a couple
00:58hundred thousand dollars in in the grand scheme of things and you know
01:02walking around the track for a couple of days this weekend you know I did see on
01:07Sunday when I was up there relatively lightly attended you could you could
01:12move around rather freely which was in a stark contrast to Belmont Stakes weekend
01:18up here back in in June when you know everybody was kind of crammed in like
01:24sardines and it was it was kind of tough to to move around in person at the
01:29track during that busy weekend but you know overall I think the executives from
01:34Naira that I've been speaking to over the last couple days were we're pretty
01:38pleased with with what they've seen and a lot of it too has to do with the
01:43weather a lot of times when when it rains they have to pull races off of the
01:49turf which then results in a lot of horses being scratched from those races
01:54so you know in a race that you might have 10 or 12 different betting
01:58interests that comes off the turf and then you're you know and oftentimes left
02:03with four or five or six sometimes if we're lucky betting interests which
02:08which certainly affects the handle so good weather good action up at Saratoga
02:14to kick off the meet and you know another five weeks to go so we'll see
02:18how that progresses here throughout the rest of the summer but all things
02:22considered off to a pretty solid start here at Saratoga
