00:02I saw some of your colleagues after the
00:04the Loper-Bright decision came out, they
00:08were freaking out and saying, you don't
00:09understand, we haven't been getting into
00:12the nitty-gritty of what the laws are
00:14for a very long time. We defer to these
00:17experts in the bureaucracy to to handle
00:20everything. First of all, I love the faith
00:23that Democrat senators have in the
00:25experts in the bureaucracy, something not
00:28shared by many Americans. But it was just
00:30kind of funny to watch them say, no, no,
00:32we don't want to do our jobs here, we've
00:34been not doing our jobs for a very long
00:36period of time. So this would help them
00:39actually do their jobs.
00:40It's exactly, it's the new idolatry. And
00:42this, by the way, is the secret to Trump's
00:45sauce. This is the secret to why Trump
00:49has been successful, it's also the secret
00:52to why we need Trump so much today, and
00:55the secret to why they're doing
00:57everything they can, why they tried to
00:58imprison him, why somebody tried to kill
01:00him, why they're pushing back as hard as
01:03they could. Look, Donald Trump is an
01:05anomaly to say the least. He's an enigma,
01:08especially to the left. He came along as
01:11someone who entered the scene at the top
01:13level, ran for president, was elected
01:15president, from completely outside of the
01:18political universe. The only modern
01:21president you can think of who fits that
01:22description. He came along and identified
01:24a whole bunch of problems with
01:26government, problems that he had had no
01:29role in creating, unlike pretty much
01:32anybody else in the political system. And
01:34so when that happened, and he showed up
01:37with all this moral courage and clarity,
01:40they rebelled against him. They said, we
01:42cannot have this. We cannot have it. Now,
01:46the other side does everything they can.
01:47This also explains the lawfare. They do
01:50everything they can to denigrate that, to
01:54demonize it, because the left, remember,
01:57believes that, first of all, they are the
02:00rule of law. When they talk about the
02:02rule of law, they don't think about it in
02:03terms of, it's all better if we follow
02:05the law, even if we disagree with it. For
02:06the left, the progressive is the law, so
02:10whatever the law is, is in their mind the
02:13rule of law. They will then denigrate and
02:16demonize anyone who comes along who
02:18pushes back on that, who challenges those
02:20assumptions. Anyone who is against them
02:22and their policy agenda is against the
02:24rule of law. By the same token, any
02:26Supreme Court justice who refuses to
02:29recuse from a case where they don't
02:31think they will like the ruling, they
02:35will push back on them and try to demean
02:39their credibility, pushing so far as even
02:41to delegitimize the court as a whole, so
02:45that they can pack the Supreme Court and
02:46change its composition. At the end of the
02:50day, these guys bastardize the concept
02:53of the rule of law to the point that
02:56it's really aggressive. It's kind
02:58of a fascist approach to governance, but
03:01that's why they're pushing back so hard
03:03against Donald Trump. And by the way, it
03:05also ties into the administrative state.
03:07One of my first reactions after I got
03:09the news the other night, and I
03:11commented this evening on it, is that
03:14things like this would not happen. We
03:17wouldn't have violence erupt, violent
03:20protests and rallies, as often as we do
03:22surrounding presidential elections, if we
03:24didn't put so many eggs in that basket,
03:27if we hadn't made the federal government
03:29far more powerful than it was ever
03:31intended to be, and if we hadn't made the
03:33presidency itself more
03:36powerful than it was ever intended to be.
03:38And I think that is the hatred against
03:39Trump.
